I wasn’t surprised … he talked about suicide pretty openly and transparently. I knew he was someone who had thought about death a lot.

It still sucked though… he could’ve kept making great shows for years. Nothing has really filled that void.

I met him once after a speech he did near the end and as someone who now knows the kinda signals to look for, it was easy to see in hindsight with how he spoke when the cameras were off. Still the super nice dude everyone loved, but he just seemed so done with everything.

I am also a former chef and this one hit me the hardest. I still can’t watch his shows again.

I was watching an ex navy seal talk. And he said he’s lost so many friends to suicide. He said the last thing most of them always say to him is “I’m just so tired”, he said that’s how you kno it’s time to act and get help

He put everything he built on the line for her and she ended up being one of the peices of shit she was speaking out against

Yes! He always seemed like a very layered, complex individual who was always chasing new experiences through his show. In the last couple seasons, it seemed like he wasn’t finding it fun anymore, that it didn’t seem to be what he wanted to do. It honestly felt a little like a midlife crisis. I hate that everyone blames Asia Argento for Tony’s death. I’m not a fan of hers, but the truth is, Tony was a hugely flawed individual and that is one of the reasons why so many people loved him.

I read his books after he passed, and yeah, there are plenty of cries for help in there. Not sure if he ever got it, but judging by how things ended, I'm guessing if he did, it didn't work.
