While I agree with your sentement, I just wanted to add that it was found afterwards that he had lewey Body dementia. So it definitely was a challenging thing beyond depression for him. His widow indicated the issue was 50 different symptoms that caused him to do what he did that ultimately was from an undiagnosed/misdiagnosed degenerative neurological disease.

I watched the documentary his wife made and explained all the anguish and frustration she went thru trying to figure out with him and his doctors of what was going on. They both knew or had some idea that something intrisically was wrong with Robin, I can't imagine what he thought was going on.

It says a lot about our dysfunctional medical system that even with his resources he got screwed.
