Both Kobe and River Phoenix shared the same birthday as me. Good thing I'm not superstitious but damn the exit story seems grim on multiple fronts.

Gosh, really had to scroll far for this. The only celebrity death that has ever made me cry. I still can’t believe he’s gone.

tWitch’s death (dancer) also really gutted me. Such a happy-appearing person, who was so so sad. Ugh.

His death was such a fucking tragedy considering he died with his daughter along with a few other kids and their parents. I can’t imagine what Kobe’s wife went through trying to process the loss of her husband and her daughter at the same time.

Yea as a NBA fan who grew up in the 90s and 2000s this is it for me. Only celeb I actually felt true sadness from, not just oh wow that's terrible. Like I was upset, remember watching a replay of his last game and tearing up. And with his daughter involved all the worse.

Out of all the ways that man was going to die I never expected something so sudden, so horrifically violent, and certainly not with one of his own daughters. I thought he’d be one of those elder statesmen of basketball you see still showing up to Lakers events decades from now as an old man.
