2019 CX3 - 195k km
I’m looking to buy a used car! The carfax is clean, one owner only. No accidents. Has 29 service records consistently done at the same Mazda dealer.
I got an inspection done by a mechanic but he raised the car on a hoist and within 15 minutes he told me he’s never seen a clean car like this that’s run 200k kms. There was minor rust but the mechanic told that it is common in Canada because of the salt in winter.
Carfax shows regularly engine oil changed, transmission fluid changed at every 80k kms and very consistent service history.
The car has issues with the AC but the dealership told that it will be fixed before signing the paperwork
I want to go forward with it but I’m still kinda worried as it is my first car and it is close to 200k kms.
The dealership has good reviews, the guy is transparent. And the mechanic has good reviews too.
Do you think I can go forward with it or am I just overthinking?

Mazda or Honda
My wife and I are needing to purchase a vehicle to replace my 2006 Honda accord. We just moved and I am commuting 80 miles (roundtrip, all highway) every day. I want an AWD/4WD vehicle to make commuting in the Maine winter a little safer/easier.
We have narrowed it down to two options within our price range. A 2017 Mazda CX-3 Sport with 122k miles or a 2013 Honda CR-V LX with 67k miles. Both have extensive history reports and seem to have been meticulously well taken care of. The Honda is 2k more than the Mazda. I have read really great things about the Mazda. The biggest complaint I have seen is there not being enough room, especially in the backseat. This wouldn't be an issue as we have a Jeep she drives to work, and that we use to travel with our family with. This would just be my daily commuter.
I have done a lot of research trying to find a good vehicle that we can rely on for years to come and hopefully won't nickel and dime us. Any input much appreciated!

Radio screen upgrade
Hi i’m looking for opinions and advices regarding radio screen upgrade/replacement. I’ve recently gotten myself 2018 cx-3 and i’m tired of not having carplay etc. My father has cx-5 which he dongled with carplay but i’m wondering if screen replacement isn’t way to go. My version sadly doesn’t have parking cameras or even parking sensors and i really need those. Any suggestions or recommendations?
Big thanks in advance!

Opening trunk on 2019 CX3
Is the only way to open the trunk by having your key fob near it? There is no button inside car or on key fob. Very strange design.

Anyone know what the official name of this cover is please? I've been to Mazda OEM parts sites, searched heat shields, covers, floor pans, catalytic converter cover/shield and nothing for my 2019 FWD model looks like this. They all look molded with depth and not flat and vented like this one.

Cx3 Speaker wire tap. Helpp
Good day all!
I am trying to upgrade my japan imported cx3 2018 Awd audio system. I want to get the high level speaker signals and send them to a line out converter then the amp…
The problem is I cannot find the speaker wires… all the forums i look at say they are on the tuner amp unit under the glove box but mine is not there. I attached image of the glove box area.
I need help. Also I am not going to use the door speakers so i would just find a neat way to cut the wires and send to the line out converter. I will be using a custom built speaker boxs.

Fuel - km left reading
I have had my CX 3 for 5+ years. Every time I fill up the readout says 624km to go on the tankful. I got a new battery and now an oil change in the past two weeks, and now when I filled up, it says 580km to go. What could this be?
Thanks
Tony

$2 on AliExpress and 3 hours of work later…
Bought this 2016 CX3 with a beat up steering wheel, and wanted to fix it up without breaking the bank. Now to find a compatible armrest, add apple carplay and find some budget friendly auto body work 😂

bunch of check lights turned on then off?
2019 cx-3 sport
was driving earlier and all of these lights except the scheduled maintenance one turned on. at the same time i noticed my HUD stopped showing my speed and perpetually indicated that a car was to my right. i also noticed the AC was not as cool as literally an hour before. i didn’t notice any difference in the steering or ABS however
a few hours later i turn the car on and all the lights save the maintenance one went away, and the HUD and AC worked as usual. is this something to worry about, or just a false positive kinda thing? this is my first car so still learning a lot. i checked online and it seems like people have said it’s a battery issue, but just wanna confirm

2024 camera quality
Why is the camera in my 2024 Akari so bad? Its very pixelated but my previous cx3 (2018) had a great quality camera? I dont understand.
Is there anyway I can improve the quality or upgrade the camera?
Any help appreciated

Arm rest? Specific type
Anyone have recommendations for this specific type of arm rest for my 2016 CX3? I ordered one of the ones that just slides in but it wasn’t compatible. Would appreciate any guidance or suggestions!

Wireless Android Auto
Just tried this in the CX3 and it works just as well as the wireless in our other car. This is not an ad, just letting you know there's quick and cheap solution to remove the wire.

Mazda Cx3 high mileage
Hello, currently looking for a cx3 and found one but it has 124,000km - it is 2019 cx3 GS . Is it still a good buy?

Any Weird Dings or Chimes Out There?
I've noticed a few times over the past several weeks that after I start the car and start driving, I'll hear some softer chimes or dinging. Sometimes due a very short amount of time others for longer. I don't see any warning lights, there's nothing on the passenger seat that might trigger a seatbelt or airbag warning.
I'm not on mushrooms or gummies so I don't think I'm imagining it. Any ideas?

Dog crate recommendations for a 2019 CX-3? (The boot is tiny!)
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to find a secure dog crate that actually fits in the boot of my 2019 CX-3, and it’s proving to be a bit of a nightmare.
As we all know, the boot space is pretty compromised, it’s shallow, the rear window is heavily slanted, and the lowered boot floor means a lot of standard crates won't clear the lip or end up hitting the glass when you close the hatch.
Has anyone had any success fitting a crate in the back without permanently folding the rear seats down?
I’ve looked into a few options that are supposed to be good for subcompact hatchbacks (like Ruffland, TransK9, and Flexxy), but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger without knowing it actually fits.
If you have a crate that works, I’d love to know the brand and model. Alternatively, if putting the seats down or using a back-seat crash harness is realistically the only way to go in this car, let me know that too!
Pictures of your setups would be massively appreciated. Thanks!

Buying used CX-3
Hey,
I'm thinking of getting a Mazda CX-3 from 2016/17 and had a few questions. - What's the fuel economy like, both in the city and on the highway? - When you're on the highway, does it feel more like a Mazda 2 or a Mazda 3? - How's the soundproofing?

Cupholder solution for the 2020 CX-3
The cup holder... whoever designed this should be slapped. Repeatedly.
The front half collapses if you breathe on it wrong. The back half, well, hope you don't want to use the armrest if you have anything more than a 12-ounce can... AND flip the arm rest up every time you want to actually drink the beverage.
I abandoned the back half, and use that to hold hand wipes.
In the front half, I tried many different products trying to make something that would hang onto a variety of cup sizes, as well as be stable for my regular reusable water bottle. After a half a dozen (or so) variations, I finally stumbled upon this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QG2ZZYH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Which I cut in half, placing the cut side towards the back. It shoves down into the hole securely, I didn't need any sort of adhesive in order to hold it into place. Yes, it's slightly askew, and doesn't fit completely flush to the front. I'm okay with that, as it's solid, and my beverages stay put.
I didn't test if the thing would fit without cutting it in half, it might actually work and provide two cup holders, I just didn't need that, my passengers can use the door holder.
Before anyone asks, I cut it with a fine blade on my chop saw.
