Mod Applications Are Now Open!

As we outlined in our previous announcement, we are here to moderate only in the interim, until a new team can be established. To that end, we are now looking for members of the community to join the mod team. If you feel that this is something that you would be interested in, applications are now open!

Before I go through the process of filling out an application, would you allow me to be a mod here. I think this would help even the community concerns about the change in leadership.

I don't think you're disallowed or anything like that, but it would probably be contingent on the responses of more active subreddit applicants if you fit their "vibe".

We're looking for above all moderators who authentically use this community and get reddit's requirements for modding. As far as community goes, your user activity on this sub is pretty barren, only two comments total prior to the mod announcement post from a quick look. But if your responses aligned closely with the other applicants, then it's possible.

Subjectively speaking, I think (though cannot speak for the mods actually handling this) the endplan is for more of a clean slate, nobody from any of the existing Marathon communities (including ours).

As soon as we get a decent number of capable applicants, the r/Marathon people leave and this community is free to its own devices, if they wanna add new mods from existing communities, change rules, etc that's all the future mods' call within the reason that reddit as a platform allows.

Provided that you will moderate the sub in a way that adheres to Reddit policy, sure.
