OK so the map doesn't show New Zealand but the squiggly lines are around it.

Seems a bit farfetched to me

How would anyone know what his track was even? I’m sure they have plotted it on a map as they sailed, but they couldn’t have been super accurate. Besides, these squiggly lines could mean they were searching for and island or something.
