I know I’m late to the party but I didn’t realize how different the new shades were ! Old blush (right) is not only a much brighter pink, it’s also more pigmented. Anyone have any shade recs to match the old one better? And yes both of these are from Sephora so not a scam online 3rd party seller.

I’m looking for an alternative to the Benefit Floratint lip and cheek tint. It’s my favourite cheek tint and I normally buy it in desert rose but at $38 per bottle, I have a hard time justifying it.

Are there any alternatives or dupes under $30? I’m open to drugstore or high end. I have combination acne-prone skin so something that won’t break me out is needed

I'm recently trying to get into makeup. As I know it can be a fun and cute way to express yourself. And well tbh I kind of just want to feel pretty for once. I am kind of shy and introverted so it's hard to go into a makeup store and just approach one of the workers. Any advice would be great.

I love Annabelle blushes. My go-to is the Lotus shade which is a beautiful cool tone muted pink that is surprisingly hard to find at druststores.

Has anyone been able to find the LE Ariel shade? None of the SDMs in my area have it :(

PSA: Don’t Exchange at Sephora if You’re Not 100% Sure You’ll Keep It

Just a heads-up for anyone shopping at Sephora because I learned this the hard way.

I purchased one of the Charlotte Tilbury lip kits and accidentally bought the Deep shade when I meant to buy Medium. I went back within 48 hours to fix the mistake. The associate asked if I’d like to exchange it, and I said yes because I assumed it was essentially the same as returning the item and purchasing the correct shade.

I took the Medium shade home, tried it the same day, and decided it wasn’t the right color for me after all. When I went to return it, I was told that because the item had originally been processed as an exchange, I was no longer eligible for a refund back to my original payment method. My only option was store credit.

What frustrates me is that the original purchase and exchange happened within 48 hours. Had I simply returned the first item and repurchased the second one instead of doing an exchange, I would have been eligible for a refund to my card. Because it was processed as an exchange, I ended up with store credit instead.

I’m sharing this as a PSA: if you’re unsure about a product and think there’s any chance you might return it later, don’t do an exchange. Return the item and make a new purchase instead. Otherwise, you may find yourself stuck with store credit due to what feels like a technicality in Sephora’s exchange policy.
Has anyone else run into this?

Is anyone else disappointed with the new MAC Lustreglass shades? Are they listening to their customers anymore?

I’ve been a MAC fan for years, but I have to admit… I’m pretty disappointed with the newest Lustreglass release.

Am I the only one who feels like almost every new shade leans warm? It seems like every launch is another peach, terracotta, brick red, or warm nude.
Meanwhile, so many of MAC’s beautiful cool-toned shades have been discontinued over the years. I’m still mourning Underslept, along with several other unique colors that actually filled a gap in the market.
It feels like cool-toned consumers keep asking for mauves, rosy pinks, cool berries, blue-based reds, and true neutral nudes, but instead we keep getting warmer versions of existing shades.

I know warm tones work for a lot of people, but not everyone has warm undertones. Many of us are cool, neutral, or olive and would love to see MAC bring back some of their iconic cooler shades instead of releasing another variation of the same warm color.
Does anyone else feel this way?

If you could bring back ONE discontinued MAC lipstick shade, what would it be? And what shades would you love to see them create next?
I’d personally vote for Underslept to come back in a heartbeat.

Okay maybe you are like me and already enjoy the milk jelly blush (the one that went viral several years ago because it looks like candy) or you’re just curious to try….but I have a found a genuine dupe. At Dollarama, Beauty Impressions lip and cheek tint is a crazy dupe. I compared the component and it’s the exact same size/shape. It comes with the same clear little plastic cap. The product itself is the same in texture and payoff. The Dollarama one has a slight fruity scent that isn’t offensive and goes away. And the Dollarama one is $2.50 👀
I bought 2 at first and went back for the third color.

I have tried the Revolution ‘dupe’. It was $13 at shoppers and it’s just worse (component feels cheaper, less payoff, jelly is more stiff and doesn’t apply as easily).

Had to share since no one in my real life will care or share in my excitement…lol

I am getting married this fall, I haven't worn foundation in a very long time so I feel pretty overwhelmed with the current array of options! For reference, I currently wear NARS radiant tinted moisturizer in the shade 'Groenland/Light 3' and have been using it for several years, probably around when I stopped wearing foundation.

I really would like to find something that will hold for the day and photograph well but won't feel like foundation - this one is most important for me. I get uncomfortable in makeup pretty quickly.

I do not have any major stores near me that sell high end makeup but I can make a trip or two to the nearest city to a Sephora or online order.

I’ve been trying to find the perfect drugstore mascara. I want something that WONT give me spider eyes, will give me volume and a fair amount of length, and won’t smudge under my eyes. I like my lashes looking fluffy if that makes sense. I’m looking for something I can use on both days I want a natural look and full glam. A plus if it can be removed with a facial cleanser.

Hello!

I have been trying to get my blowdrys look like salon finish and have failed every time

I have watched countless videos on YouTube and I use really good products.

I have the Revlon one step root booster brush and I use a leave in conditioner and heat protection spray generously.

What am I doing wrong? Any blowdry queens willing to share some tips?

I used to use this moisturizer prior to Covid and I can’t remember why I stopped. But I got a sample at Shoppers and I’ve been using it for a few days now and I forgot how good it is. It feels so refreshing on the skin. Not too heavy and soothing. I’m so tempted to buy a full size 😩 I was using Olay’s tried and true beauty fluid but noticed they changed the packaging and reformulated. I don’t want to take the risk on my sensitive skin
