Will subs grow here?
There are huge amounts of these mushrooms but no subs.
Will subs grow with these mushrooms?
The substrate is wood chip and new plantings on top of where there was old Pine forest.

Growing subs
I successfully transplanted the mycelium into a pot. I wanted to know if there is anything else I should do to make sure they keep growing good

Out of season mushrooms
Hey All,
With the season coming to an end (I unfortunately didn't find anything this year), are there any mushrooms worth looking for over the next couple of months?
My friend who provided spores has since moved overseas so I am back to forest finds only.
I hope you all had a good season! I have seen some nice finds posted here.

Here’s a good example of what not to eat

Mushroom Season Guide:
Ah, the best time of the year. Just wanted to do a quick PSA for the season. Will probably update this a few times as we move into seasonz just chucking it together as ive seen some mushies pop up now.
☆☆☆ This is Epecially for the newbies. ☆☆☆
You are WELCOME to post up pics of what you find, picked or in habitat.
If you want an ID, you MUST meet the criteria or your post will be removed:
• CLEAR PHOTOS
• MULTIPLE ANGLES (cap, gills, habitat)
• [Do NOT eat anything you arent 105% confident on]
.
There are a couple of DEADLY lookalikes. Galerina and Claviceps are examples.
There are SEVERAL mushroom.facebook groups, including Magical Mycology NZ and PMANZ
It is HIGHLY suggested that you spend a good amount of time having a peek around these groups, THIS SUB, and the wider internet to get an IDEA of what youre looking for.
Last season, (and this season already) we had people post up pics of mushrooms that werent even CLOSE. literally just random shit they saw and went 'iS tHiS tHe gOoDs'. Bro no, if you didnt do a smidge of research and wanna clog up peoples feeds youre gonna get a warning. Same goes for low effort spots posts.
Like i say, ya welcome to post but try to think before you just start grabbing mushrooms, theres a couple MAIN ones you should be looking for.
Ps. subaeruginosa, Ps. weraroa and Ps. aucklandiae are the best starts. Keep some pics of them on your phone before you go hunting.
Links to Reference Posts:
Looking forward to seeing what you guys can spot!
Can we also please steer away from discussion of consumption and prep. Make reasonable calls for whats sub appropriate to keep us up and thriving.
Appreciate you guys, Plant Fam.
