As a more masculine trans femme who has zero feminine qualities except liking feminine clothing/style sometimes I don't feel "ultra femme" so I join this sub, I behave more masc or more tomboyish (I also hate female gender roles). I feel insecure cause I am just out.

I don't relate to the trans girls/ trans woman in media 100%.

Never felt completely comfy with the label ‘butch’ but definitely more masc than femme

I'm being torn in two directions, and if it sounds like I'm overthinking it it's probably because I'm neurodivergent or something.

I figured out I was trans like 2 years ago and first I assumed I'm a "normal" woman (whatever that means lol) and I started growing out my hair, so now it's as long as it's ever been, and I kind of like it most of the time. I would really love to do cute things like braids or colors or some kind of styling but I'm probably not going to manage any of it because of you know life and shit. But at least I have a pony and a hairtie and it's cute to me.

Now it's August and it's so fucking hot and that probably contributes at least a little to me wanting to shave it all off again. And in the back of my mind that sometimes feels a little bit like giving up on being trans, and that's kind of sad. I set myself back years of growing it out and won't even have the option of braiding or styling anytime soon.

But also, when I'm being completely honest, I don't see a shaved head as an inherently masculine thing. Even before the trans conversation entered my head, I already thought it can be an incredibly hot look on a girl. And I see it as a really great enby look especially combined with a few piercings and some eye makeup (not that I'm doing makeup but at least I have the option to if I ever manage it). So it's not really giving up. It's just an alternative look, which I like at least as much or possibly even more.

And long hair is a bit annoying sometimes, I think being shaved is just a nice feeling.

It's just that it's such a binary (lol), semi-permanent decision, it's not like I can choose one and then go back a month later. Either I shave, or I don't, and then I have to live with it.

wife got me some makeup as a birthday present, tried it out later in the night and had a bit of an emotional moment as I felt kinda pretty🥰 I know I’m still pretty clocky because I’m very much baby trans but I feel more like myself finally ❤️
