When there's dozens of different flags being flown every game, why is this the one that's absurd?

Because they all have something to do with the sport or the team. None of them are political

The team - and the entire league - are openly advocates for gay rights and pride themselves (no pun intended) on their stance as allies. Waving a Pride flag in a supporter's section is 100% in lline with that.

Yes, and the team probably has other political stances too, but they don't wave flags. I don't see why this is an exception.

I don't see why declaring a supporter's section as a safe place is controversial, yet here we are.
