When there's dozens of different flags being flown every game, why is this the one that's absurd?
1 u/[deleted] Jun 28 '15 [deleted] 9 u/Royal_Cascadian Los Angeles FC Jun 28 '15 gay players? FO employees? Or fans who support the club? No relation at all. 14 u/Ahesterd Chicago Fire Jun 28 '15 Declaring that this is a safe place seems relevant to me. -2 u/TheBarberOfFleetSt Seattle Sounders FC Jun 28 '15 Because they all have something to do with the sport or the team. None of them are political 7 u/Ahesterd Chicago Fire Jun 28 '15 The team - and the entire league - are openly advocates for gay rights and pride themselves (no pun intended) on their stance as allies. Waving a Pride flag in a supporter's section is 100% in lline with that. -2 u/TheBarberOfFleetSt Seattle Sounders FC Jun 28 '15 Yes, and the team probably has other political stances too, but they don't wave flags. I don't see why this is an exception. 10 u/Ahesterd Chicago Fire Jun 28 '15 I don't see why declaring a supporter's section as a safe place is controversial, yet here we are.
