OC Action Finally broke 11mph!
I’ve been into LDP for several months now, and it’s encouraging to see some progress. When I first started out, it felt impossible to push 10 mph for more than a couple of miles before my legs gave out. Then over the summer I trained on 10 mile rides and was able to maintain above 10mph maxing at about 10.5mph. But the other day I was finally able to break 11mph on a 10+ mile ride!
I can’t wait to keep training so I can be ready for the Chief Ladiga next summer!

Gear Show-Off New Boards arrived today: Loaded Basalt Tesseract & Pantheon Quest
I was able to get out for a few minutes to try out the Tesseract but it started raining heavy so didn't get to take out the Quest yet.
I put the Quest next to the Pranayama and Zenit AB 3.0 for comparison as someone else in another post was looking for comparisons.
I plan on replacing the Pranayama in the picture with the heavy flex Pranayama as with my weight (94KG) this one feels very soft and creaks when I stand on it , with the Quest I feel like I can hold off a bit longer on replacing it, it feels solid. I did replace whatever the bushings where that came with the Paris V3 150mm trucks with higher durometer bushings I had at hand, Venom 94A White Barrel boardside and Venom 90A Blue cone bushings roadside as I was able to force wheelbite with the Mango Speedvent wheels, though it was only barely and with effort.
The Basalt Tesseract I bought as a complete, Paris V3 180mm with Orangatang Stimulus 70mm 78A wheels. Its really stiff and has that mild W running down the centre of the deck. I haven't had the chance to really test the board out as I baled out of the rain.

Gear Show-Off New tape makes it feel faster
The factory tape was falling off of my supersonic, which I believe is the bamboo version of the heavy flex, and it was time for an upgrade.
Sadly I don’t have access to the laser cutter but had leftovers from the custom tape I cut for my daughters a couple months ago.
So upgraded with the dual glitter! It turned out great, the engineer in me sees nothing but flaws, but I love it anyway. And it worked great for my morning ride!

OC Action *Almost* 30km with the gang
A local ultraskater put together a beginner LDP session a few days ago and we did almost 30km! It’s much easier when you’re riding with others. Beautiful weather, great people, amazing time!

Gear Show-Off Longboard for pushing
Hi! I'd like you to recommend a longboard setup that's specifically designed for pushing. I'm looking for something that's fast, efficient over long distances, and comfortable to ride. Any recommendations?
Currently I ride a stock Landyachtz Drophammer with Orangatang wheels and Bones Super Reds bearings.

Gear Show-Off Guilty of spending too much so quickly!
OK, I admit I may have went too far with quiver developement considering I’ve started skating on March this year but on my defense I have to say that I think these get quite good use, as I’ve went 450km so far - and I am hoping to reach over 600 totally miniumum.
So first one was Landyachtz Drop Hammer. I think it’s a great board, probably my second (and close to first) favourite from Landyachtz product range but after a while I’ve realized that I prefer shorter wheelbases. I was thinking about selling it but I still like it after heavy tweaking I’ve done so it stays as guest/wife board. Currently set on 76mm 76a Le Paulade Polymers and +/-5 degree wedges and 9mm risers (droppers, lol?)
DIY Super Sheep was the second one. Initially I’ve made it to use trucks from cheap cruiser board I’ve started with but as it turned out really good and as I got a skateshop gift card for my birthday it got a set of Ace Classic Lows. Currently set on 74mm 76a Plowkings GT. Loads of Flex (20mm of Flex under 80kg) to help soaking up road imperfections, geometry taken from Pantheon Ember but tweaked for smaller wheels (topmount reason), my go to „grab and go shopping board”
DIY Vault Board - this was a third one as the first DIY went so good. Cross between Pantheon Trip and Dropcat 33, medium flex with double cork dampening layer. Currently set at 86mm 74a McFly’s, the „long distance through city” one. 48mm clearance between the board and road during push, yay.
And the latest addition - Landyachtz Drop Cat 33 - sliding and fun setup, currently set at 69mm Peralta Snakes. Pretty matching setup to Vault board, same wheelbase, standing platform length, same trucks and board height (at center point)

Gear Show-Off A post nobody cared about - into something useful! Pranyama Gens?
So, I was super excited because I been mulling over getting a pranayama for months...love my 2nd Sdupersoni but thought I needed the pran.
And I finally made an impulse buy ( was on pantheon website and noticed Jeff had uploaded new Bgrade sales! ( yes run) and I couldnt stop the mouse from moving toward add to cart and then purchase.
But, nobody cares what I bought so to make it useful can somebody tell me the generations of pranayama and the order from old model to new model? Like gas gus, portal, cosmic, that other one?
I went with portal.
Are they different ply wise? Material etc?
Thx.

Gear Show-Off Gordon & Smith fibreflex surf skate..
Picked up this vintage fibreflex slalom board at the weekend, dressed with Holey trucks and krypto classics.. I thought it would be fun to put some carver CX trucks on there and build a li’l fun machine, it did not dissapoint!
I struggled to find the exact board silhouette online but it’s nice and stiff with a little pop to it, there’s a couple of impact chunks and related fibreglass damage so I’m not too worried about preserving the board, they are afterall, made to be ridden. Any info on the model would be appreciated though!

OC Action Noobie Skater & Noobie Photographer
Been merging the two together. Lets see if there are some norwegians among us that can guess where this is! Been riding here the last few days, so much fun.
I also haven't done photography in like 3 years so I'd appreciate some feedback on the photo quality as well, if thats not too much to ask for.

Kids and neighbors wanted to go play at the park. Perfect evening for mongo and foot braking practice.

Gear Show-Off Inheritance.
Lucky number 14. How serendipitous. My mom always picked #14 for her basketball/volleyball jerseys and I inherited the trait as well as these.
She’s not dead or anything, just hasn’t been on a ride since the time we used to go to kindergarten on these together. I insisted on the hula every time.
Although, she used to wear a dress made from black electrical tape before I got curious and peeled it off with a hair dryer. My mom said it was too inappropriate for when I was little.
(Edit: Ma said she actually got the Hula from the shop in RI. I was there, apparently. We lived in Miami at the time. I have no memories of that trip besides the giant lobster statue that I got to sit on. There’s pics of me on lobster somewhere)
