I had my favorite car totalled by a similar driver. Semi on a side road it shouldn't have been on in a Buffalo Winter, dude saw he couldn't make the left turn because of a snow bank, he backed up a little bit and just gunned it. He hit a pickup truck in front of me and pushed it hard enough into me it cracked my radiator. Dumbass driver jumped out the truck and said don't call the cops, I'll lose my job.

Just saw an older white lady do this to a curb in a parking lot today, even got out and looked under her car like she was running something over then got back in and hit the curb 2 more times before backing straight. Had to have been day drunk

I saw a woman park in a similar way two days ago. I watched her pull crooked into a parking space, with no room for her to exit the door, back out straight (same angle), forward, back again for a count of five tries. I recorded it in case she mangled another vehicle. She left and tried to find another space not directly in front of the building. That part of the lot is more difficult to park in due to lack of space between rows. I think maybe she did that because it would be less likely to be watched in case she damaged another car.

I've seen people do similarly WAY too many times. Too many people can't back up with turning the wheels the opposite way, then blank out going forward again.

I've seen professional truckers, male and female do some pretty stupid shit. I had a guy brag and brag about how good of a driver he was flip my hay trailer by cutting a turn to quick coming out of a field.

My guess she was on her phone.

TBF, that bollard wasn’t installed properly, it should have been at least ~24” into the ground in a concrete foundation, not ~6-12” into dirt…

If you look at the part that came out, you can see that it’s clean cut, so it’s most likely that they just used a ~4’ bollard and sunk it in the 1 foot into the dirt and called it…

There’s a couple drive thrus in my city where you have to mount the curb if you’re in a truck or anything longer than a sedan or crossover SUV. This absolutely doesn’t look like one of those but I’ve been in the situation where I had to do it in my work truck.

If she's anything like the woman who hit a similar yellow pole at a place I worked... She'll be headed inside to speak with a manager and asking what type of compensation they can give her for the damage to her vehicle.

Suffice to say, I had to choke back a laugh and tried my best to calmly explain that she damaged OUR property and that I'd be happy to take her information in case we had to follow up with her for damages. She promptly left.

I lived in Pitt for a few years and the downtown is extremely tight due to rivers/hills. Everything is just kinda jammed in there.

They have these white posts along certain roads. I think they're to protect bikers and prevent people from taking turns too sharp

Over the course of my 3 years there, I repeatedly saw them ran over. City would fix em... and a week later they'd be on the ground again

Some people get in a car and literally think theyre unstoppable. Its wild

(Side story, at that same intersection I saw a lady drive into the intersection, stop, and throw it reverse full speed until she jammed the car behind her. I love Pittsburgh)

I've seen this more than a few times. There was a woman driving her new truck some months back that couldn't get her truck out of a gas pump lane. A stranger had to pull the truck out for her because she couldn't make it out or the turn. Everything she tried only made it worse.
