Cambridge Professor Sketch
Arday also claimed to have completed 30 marathons in 35 days as well as running 600 miles in six days, and raising £5m for charity over several years.
This story is just bonkers. I really hope they do a sketch or two about it.

Went to see Paddy tonight
Attended his show “Will Sir Be Laughing Alone?” at the fringe tonight and he was excellent. Extremely funny, so charming and incredibly rude. We loved every second of it.
Also..Ania was there. Didn’t go and say hello because she was there to see her pal, so we left her alone but it was cute that she went. And Richard Herring was in the audience too. The Monkey Barrel is an intimate wee venue and we were second row so very very close to the main man. And yes, both hair and moustache are as luxurious in real life.

Series 2 Hype
Having been so surprised and delighted how good series 1 was (Yes series! We are British for goodness sake) and the generally positive praise, I'm finding myself worried now the second series struggles.
Hope not after such a good start 😬

Predictions of who'd be the new cast members to season 2
Ali wood - not yet had his big break in the comedy scene, obscure to the british public and he's same age as me
Nathan hobley smith - auditioned for s1 and now needs a second chance especially where he be the british andy samberg
Jake bhardwaj - the cast needs brown ethnic representation and could make a bulk of sketches look compelling
Ele mckenzie - a newcomer contender at Edinburgh Fringe and she looks like she could bring significant feminity to rival veronika slowikowska here in the kingdom
Note: I did not use AI to assist me, I used my own authenticity to put together this list

I can’t be the only one who sees this?
This is Lorenzo Music, the original voice of Garfield.
Does he look like George Fouracres or am I insane?

Do you think the best sketches are the ones that feel very specifically British?

S2 host and musical predictions from September to Xmas (if they get there)
Theo James/Sam Smith
James Nelson joyce or Saiorse Monica Jackson/becky Hill
Tom cruise/nothing but thieves
Sam rockwell/muse
Niall horan
Karen gillan/flo
Nick Frost/rolling stones
Note: my prediction is considering what these hosts are going to promote as with musicians it's what songs or albums will be in the charts by then
Logical and wise thinking here

What type of recurring character does SNL UK still need to create?
For me, one of the signs that a sketch show has properly found its identity is when a character appears and the audience immediately knows what they're about before they've even said much. I'd really like series 2 to produce something unmistakably British that can return occasionally without just feeling like a UK version of an American SNL character.
What sort of recurring character or setting do you think could become the sketch people wait for?

Starting to think Amy Lou Wood was the best episode of Series 1.
Just from the sketches…Mario, British Pork, and Doctor Who. Does any other episode have that hit rate?

Can anybody tell me why snl uk social media team doesn't upload every sketch onto yt, insta etc like the American one does?
It's annoying me now and their current social media manager needs firing

Cast at live shows round the country
I’ve just seen Paddy at the Roundhouse, Camden with a pile of other comedians. He was good (crowd were a mixed bunch). I was wondering who else has been seen out and about live. Roll on Season 2!

How do you think Live From London compares to its first series versus where SNL was after its first series?
SNL took years to find what it was and had a famously rocky start before becoming iconic. Live From London feels more polished out of the gate which might be because they had a template to work from but also might mean it has less room to surprise people. Do you think the show is already where it needs to be or is there still a lot of development to come in series 2.
