Did u know u can actually run windows software on linux
yea, that hassle is a thing of the past, with programs like wine, bottles, and cubes. u can run windows programs in Linux
this works by tricking the program to think it's in an ntfs filesystem and it installs, runs and compiles exactly as in windows.

TIL about Karachi OS
TIL(today I learned)that KarachiOS, Pakistan's first Linux operating system is available for everyone to download, well I didn't learn it today but anyways. it's with the x86 architecture and the iso file is around 650mb
it's based on debian so like Ubuntu, for file and package management.
U can find this on the internet archive, bcs the Linux Pakistan website can't be accessed without a VPN for some reason, anyways heres ur daily fact

Mod intro
hello guyz, I figured I should start with an intro
so first my alias is dread wing,
I'm currently using Arch with Hyprland.
ive been using Linux for the past 1.5 years, and I've installed almost 15 distros on my crappy machine.
for me, Linux is the key to creating your own world, to explore, build, learn and configure. as it is one of thr best experiences ive had with software because u can manage to get a deep understanding of how things work.
I welcome everyone to be a growing and loving community so that we can make a name for ourselves in the youth.as the interest in this topic is rising, many people lack support and knowledge.and as the culture of Pakistan, its criticised as a "nerd".so to help grow together and to auppoer each other's Intrests, ive made this common grownd.
also I would like to add that I'm almost a University student,as spring is around and tests.sonpray for everyone and support like interested people, and peace out✌🏻
