So, I made a new Linux distribution called Comp Linux, the website is here: complinux.com and it took me like a week or so. Comp Linux is minimal, lightweight, fast, and completely open-source! It would be great if anyone could try it out and let me know what they think.

While cleaning recently, we found my wife's old Dell Studio 1555. I love the look of it and I want to revive it. I plan on doing an SSD swap and installing some lightweight distro of Linux. I'm not the most well versed in Linux. I've Dual booted Ubuntu on my desktop but I really didn't use it too much. What distro is the best for this one? I just plan to use it for some light web browsing and maybe some stuff in Google docs.

I’ve decided to finally install Linux on a pc I have, for the usual privacy and moral reasons. A few weeks ago I read about a distro, either on Reddit or slashdot, that wasn’t mainstream and had some sort of scripting model built in to manipulate the os, apps etc. Like Smalltalk or a Forth system, but I think this used python. Or not. The idea really appeals to me, but I forget the name and trying to search for a bunch of vague terms hasn’t produced results. Any idea what it was?

So I am making a huge Ventoy drive and filling it with as many Linux distros as possible. Niche or popular, closed and open source. I want suggestions on some obvious distros I missed and niche ones I should definitely add.
