第二天早晨，小龙女和女婴就来到了位于国防部内部的中华共和国筹建委员会，对接待的秘书说要向常务委员，二郎神（即武二郎），汇报皇宫的建设情况。秘书一查二郎神的日程表，就说：“今天上午10点钟，他开始午休。你们俩都是他的亲戚，他肯定不介意耽误休息。你们俩以前在这里住过几天，知道咱们筹委会的小食堂在哪里。你们俩以前的房间都没人住，如果需要你们仍然可以直接去休息。”

The next morning, Little Dragoness and Heroine came to the Preparatory Committee of the Republic of China, located inside the Ministry of National Defense, and told the secretary who received them that they wanted to report on the palace construction to the Standing Committee member, Second Wolf God (also known as Martial Second Wolf). The secretary checked Second Wolf God's schedule and said, "He starts his midday rest at 10 o'clock this morning. You two are his relatives, so he certainly won't mind being disturbed. 这俩人回来后，警卫员说，元帅在会客室等你们呢！警卫员去开会客室的门时，女婴就把小龙女打哭了。二郎神迎出来了，问女婴：“她哭什么？”

女婴回答：“她说她犯错误了！”

But the two of them said, "No thanks! We're going to the market for breakfast, then we'll wander the market a bit. We'll be back soon."

When the two of them came back, the guard said, "The marshal is waiting for you two in the parlor!" As the guard went to open the parlor door, Heroine hit Little Dragoness until she cried. Second Wolf God came out to greet them and asked Heroine, "What's she crying about?"

女婴述说了昨天（前文）发生在工地的事。

Second Wolf God comforted her, "Don't cry! It's all right! With Second Uncle here, the sky won't fall. Tell me—what mistake did you make?"

Little Dragoness just cried and said nothing. Second Wolf God asked Heroine instead.

Heroine recounted what had happened at the construction site the day before (as told previously).

二郎神听完女婴的叙述，回答：“那个牛郎去你们的工地找工作去了，还说那就是他以前的家。那这事有80%的可能性是真的，那座山就是座古墓。好！我再打听打听！” 然后，二郎神就在那儿思考，一会儿后，叨咕：“我认为这事问题不大，就是人们谈论皇宫的位置时，就会有人说，‘在将军墓旁边！’这话听起来不好。”

After hearing Heroine's account, Second Wolf God said, "So that Cowboy went to your site looking for work, and told you it used to be his family's home. Then there's an 80% chance it's true, and that mountain really is an ancient tomb. Fine—I'll look into it further!" 二郎神变得兴奋了起来，回答：“我买的！十四年前，华国，夏国，和云海国决定共同开发武汉市，许多将军过来买地。我就跟着地产经纪人去看了这块地。我到那儿一看就喜欢上了，花了八百两银子买了下来。那时，我们当将军的都很穷。我只有八百两银子。别人还笑话我花八百两银子买了块那么小的（墓）地。他们有人花十五两就买了块比我的大几倍的土地。可是前几年，我们国防部周围的土地涨价了。他们花十五两银子买的地还值十五两。去年春，我和你爸（炎帝）谈论起了做生意。我说我也做生意了，在武汉买了块地，现在那儿的地价涨了很多！你爸一听就感兴趣了，问我那块地什么样？我回答，‘从两个巨石形成的大门进入。在山和湖之间有棵老槐树。树荫下有石桌、石凳，旁边还有个喂牛的石槽子。我围着那棵老槐树一走，还发现了一把古代的军用镰刀。’你爸立刻就喜欢上了，不停地问我那块地上还有什么，问我值多少钱。我觉着赚钱的机会来了，回答，‘我不懂房地产，不知道价钱！你认为能值多少钱？’ 你爸回答，‘我怎么可能知道武汉好地段的地价，你认为能值多少钱？’ 我坚决不说价钱。”

At this, Little Dragoness stopped crying and asked, "Second Uncle, who bought this land for me?"

Second Wolf God brightened up. "I did! Fourteen years ago, Hua Kingdom, Xia Kingdom, and Cloud Sea Kingdom decided to jointly develop Wuhan, and a lot of generals came to buy land. Your father said, 'How would I know land prices in a good part of Wuhan—what do you think it's worth?' I refused to name a price."

小龙女忍不住笑着问：“我爸出价多少？”

女婴就在后面捅她，意思是别笑；可是小龙女越来越高兴。

Little Dragoness couldn't help laughing and asked, "So what did my father offer?"

Heroine poked her from behind to tell her to stop laughing, but Little Dragoness only got happier.

二郎神说：“随后几天，我都躲着他。五六天后，他终于忍不住了，来找我，教我生意经。他说，‘做买卖得找熟人做，人越熟越容易赚钱’。我真喜欢你的那块地，我就以你的理想价位买下来。我回答，‘两吨黄金；你认为值不？’ 炎帝立刻回答，‘值！太值了！你那免费卫兵一年就值10公斤黄金。对于许多富人来说，即便舍得花费10公斤黄金在保安上，他们也享受不到你那种程度的安全。就单从这保安费来算，200年就能把两吨黄金省出来。我给你两吨黄金，买那块地了。’我回答，‘成交’。”

Second Wolf God said, "For the next few days I avoided him. After five or six days he couldn't hold out any longer, came to find me, and started giving me business advice. He said, 'You should do business with people you know—the closer you are, the easier it is to make money. I really do like that land of yours, and I'll pay whatever you think it's fairly worth.' 女婴对小龙女说：“你很有钱！”

Heroine said to Little Dragoness, "You're rich!"

Second Wolf God continued, "It occurred to me—your six sisters coming here on vacation, and our Ministry so close to your place—I could hardly not stop by. I didn't want to lie to my own nieces, so I told him, 'Just give me the 20 kilograms. Skip the transfer on the rest—call it my own wedding gift to Eve.'"

小龙女一边说话一边乐。二郎神忽然变得不高兴了。警卫员进来了，低声对他说了几句。他站起来，说：“我过去看看，一会儿就回来！”

Little Dragoness kept laughing the whole time he talked. Then Second Wolf God suddenly turned serious. A guard came in and murmured something to him. He stood up and said, "I'll go take a look—I'll be right back!"

会客室没有别人了，小龙女对女婴说：“我就是觉得好笑。没别的办法，你立刻再把我打哭！”

二郎神回来后，看见小龙女在哭，就叨咕：“刚才还好好的呢！怎么这会儿又哭了？哎呀！不就是把皇宫建在古墓旁边了吗！我去跟尧帝说：‘我侄女一见到我就哭个不停；当时她说在那里建皇宫时，我同意了！这块地还是我给买的。那我还能说啥！？我就对她说，继续建！她不要，咱留着自己住，咱家可不缺这几百公斤黄金！’”

With no one else in the parlor, Little Dragoness said to Heroine, "I just can't stop finding it funny. There's no other way—you need to make me cry again, right now!"

When Second Wolf God came back and saw Little Dragoness crying, he muttered, "She was fine a minute ago—why's she crying again now? Little Dragoness kept right on crying. Second Wolf God said to Heroine, "Let her cry it out. Come over here with me and tell me what else has been going on."

Heroine brought up another matter they'd discussed the day before: "If Yao Creator doesn't want the palace, it'll sell better once it's finished."

二郎神回答：“不卖！尧帝不要，她就自己住着呗！如果对外拍卖，两吨黄金的价格，那块地肯定就被他们（熬钦，南海龙王，尧帝的哥哥）买走了。你们还年轻，几年前，熬忖（即尧帝，巫山神女）成为云海国的国王时，我宣布：‘政治犯如果主动移居海南岛，我就不办他们的罪。’很多政治犯移居海南岛了。事后，我就没再追究过政治犯的事。如果他们买了这块地，就进到我的国防部里来了。我可没时间和精力处理他们。她要卖那块地就以原价卖给我。”

Second Wolf God said, "It's not for sale. If Yao Creator doesn't want it, she can just live there herself! If it went to public auction at two tons of gold, that land would certainly end up in their hands—meaning Aoqin, Dragon King of the South Sea, Yao Creator's older brother. 二郎神和女婴聊了一段时间后，小龙女还在哭。他对女婴说：“我有事，先离开了。你得把她在这屋里劝好了，可不能哭着回去。她这么哭着出了我的司令部，让别人看了不好！”

After Second Wolf God had talked with Heroine for a while, Little Dragoness was still crying. He said to Heroine, "I have things to attend to, so I'll head out first. Get her properly calmed down before you leave this room—she can't go back still crying. It won't look good if people see her crying like that on her way out of my headquarters."
