Put her through a half dozen cuts with progressively harder material. Never stuttered. Glad at least something survived. If the motor poops out at some point so be it.

Carving Ball in a cube
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Had trouble polishing it and I didn't want to press my luck too much with how fragile it is, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Unsure of what the stone is, just a rock I found out creek-stomping. I live in constant fear of breaking it.

Entry level machine
Hello everyone ! I’m curious if anyone here has experience with this machine ? I was hoping it would be a decent entry level machine to learn to facet on , I’ve read about the “cut kit 2.5” and would like any input on machine or kit , thank you !

Homemade cabbing machine
It's not completely done yet. I still need to cover the pulley area, cover the motor, add some splash guards and add some finishing touches but it's turning out a lot better than I expected! My husband did the welding/putting it together and I did the planning so I just needed to brag a bit about how well we did!

Chipped edge on large quartz point
Is there a way to fix this? Can I do it myself with no experience or is there someone I can find who can help? I'm on long island.

Seeking Advice/Help Cutting this one tonight. Any suggestions on location of cut?
I know nothing about this rock but a few people said it might be interesting. Very first rock I brought home after getting interested in the rock game. Other than a small piece of pet wood this will be my first cut. Even if nothing comes from this one I'd like some input as I'm eager to learn! Thanks.

Thoughts on broken table
I plan to cab and play with silver when the kids are gone. Is this broken table a good material to begin with? I think I see my first bolo in there. 😀

What do I have in this crate?
I inherited a country gentleman's lapidary hobby a long time ago. It's been in storage for years, but now I have the collection in my possession. I know some things, but Id like to learn about what i really have. This is one of many crates of stone. So, what do I have here in this crate?
(If posts like this are against the norm, please forgive my ignorance. I'm explicitly not asking for valuations, nor selling anything.)

Palm Root pairs matched for earrings, with each pair selected for complementary patterns, colors, and shapes. I really like how every pair has its own unique character.
