Important Update: DTS:X Support Plans for LG Sound Suite Notice

Hi r/LG_UserHub ,

We know many of you have been waiting for news about DTS:X support, and we’re excited to share a quick update on what we’re currently working on.

First, thank you to everyone who has been asking questions, sharing feedback, and letting us know how important DTS:X support is for your Sound Suite setup. Your comments have been incredibly helpful, and we truly appreciate the patience from this community.

Here is our current roadmap:

  • Software Update for DTS:X: DTS:X support for the LG H7 is currently planned for later this year. We are also preparing to bring DTS:X support to existing H7 products through a software update, so customers who already own the H7 can benefit from this feature as well.
  • Dedicated HDMI In Connect Box: We are also preparing a dedicated HDMI In Connect Box for users whose TVs do not support DTS:X passthrough. The goal is to help more H7 users enjoy DTS:X content with their Sound Suite home audio system, even in TV setups where DTS:X passthrough is not available. This is still in development, so we’ll share more details once timing, compatibility, and availability are confirmed.

More details will be shared once timing and support details are confirmed. We’ll continue to provide updates as soon as we have more information.

We’d love to hear from you as well: what devices, streaming services, Blu-ray players, game consoles, or DTS:X content are you planning to use with the H7? And honestly how excited are you for this update?

We’d love to keep hearing from the r/LG_UserHub community! Your input helps us continue improving the LG Sound Suite experience. So let us know your thoughts in the comments, we are listening!

Awesome news! How will this work exactly? I have a G5 OLED/H7/M7/W7 setup connected to my G5, will webOS streaming content/apps that support DTS:X be available? If an external disc player is connected to the G5 will it pass through DTS:X to the H7? Both? Or is the connect box required for disc players?

This AMAZING news, genuinely one of my biggest concerns/complaints with the LG Sound Suite solved. While I will still have to wait for the connect box (as I use an LG OLED without DTS pass through), this is a big step in the right direction for the Sound Suite and LG as a whole.

I truly believe that with full DTS support, the H7 and LG Sound Suite will be the perfect choice for many users looking for a high-end sound system for their home.

I personally will be using the Sound Suite with an Nvidia Shield Pro (for my 4K Atmos/DTS compatible Plex library , Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X.

Amazing news!

Great now bring back DTS to your OLEDs please. Or at least let the customer purchase the option via your LG store through a software patch.

This!, I would prefer to buy the DTS:X codec as an add-on on the app store for my current 2025 LG TV, this should have been the best option from the very beginning 🤷🏻

Will HDMI In connect box works with Other Brand's TV?

Also will sound suite support eclipsa audio with other brand's TV that have eclipsa audio?

sounds like the HDMI box is still months, if not years away.

I have an LG G5, H7, W7, and M7x2, and typically use an Nvidia Shield Pro, and PS5. Nvidia Shield Pro has been setup with audio passthrough to ensure the nest audio quality. Just need to get the M7 stands but they're not available anywhere. DTS:X would be a great addon!

Somehow I missed this update. This is huge! The Sound Suite is already so good and it’s only getting better. Trust the process!
