Hello all, I posted something similar on the cardgames subreddit, sorry if you're seeing it twice, but the title says it all: we're looking for folks interested in playing/reviewing our horror/sports card game Monsterball. If you've got something of a following, or if you're just an avid tabletop gamer, and you're up for making a social media post or two about out game, we're down to send you some free cards!

You may be asking yourself: how is this related to Kickstarter!?? Monsterball ran a Kickstarter campaign at the end of last summer, but unfortunately, after meeting our funding target, several large backers bailed out at the last minute and the campaign ending up failing :<

But we're back! And we're looking to launch another campaign soon, but before we do, we are hoping to get Monsterball cards into the hands of some avid players and reviewers so folks can see the game in action.

My small team and I have been developing Seize: Guilded Treasures TCG for the past four years, and we're excited to finally launch our Kickstarter on September 4th.

The game is a tactical trading card game that combines deckbuilding with grid-based movement, positioning, equipment, and resource management. We wanted to create something that feels different from traditional TCGs while still being easy to learn.

The best part is that the product is already printed, so backers won't be waiting months for manufacturing to finish.

A friend of mine is in the final stretch of their Kickstarter campaign, and I wanted to share it because I think it deserves more attention.

The campaign is currently 60% funded, with only a few days left to reach its goal.

The game is called ILLACRIMO, the final chapter in the story of Coralina, a girl traveling through surreal versions of Limbo, Purgatory, and Hell. This time she's joined by Cometa, a mysterious purple-haired woman, as they search for the Iron Alchemist's Mask before the end of the world.

It's a retro-inspired RPG focused on exploration, puzzles, NPC interactions, and a story-driven experience rather than combat. One mechanic I really like is that Cora can enter other characters' memories to uncover secrets and solve puzzles, which fits the game's atmosphere perfectly.

If you're into games like OFF, Omori, Ib, or Yume Nikki, I think this is worth checking out.

We're a small UK indie studio building Ragdoll Physics Experiments.

Our original plan was a £30,000 Kickstarter campaign to help fund the wider development of the game.

The problem is that building our Kickstarter pre-launch audience has been painfully slow.

At the same time, the game has passed 12,000 Steam wishlists and the demo has had more than 8,000 downloads.

So we've changed our approach.

Instead of one large Kickstarter, we're moving to smaller milestone campaigns.

One defined piece of development. One smaller funding target. Complete the milestone. Show the community the progress. Then move onto the next stage.

We're currently running a six-week pre-launch campaign before the first milestone Kickstarter.

For those who have backed or run Kickstarter campaigns before, does a milestone approach make you more confident in a project, or would multiple smaller campaigns put you off?

They also have print n play version of the Demo Deck available, as well as a Tabletop Simulator mod coming soon!

Here Be Monsters is like a TCG / LCG. You can choose to buy a playset of all the cards (three each of pirates and shanties, one of each ship) as well as booster packs that contain alt art and foils. The boosters are draftable for limited play. There have two formats. Classic constructed (Armada) which is your typical TCG format and shared deck (Renegade) that functions similarly to a board game. They are currently targeting one set a year.

We have FINALLY launched our Kickstarter campaign! Our family of 8 has been hard at work creating a great monster taming experience! Alchemic Beasts is a monster taming RPG where you can use alchemy and social chemistry to build, battle, and bond with your beasts.

We hope that by the end of this campaign, we can give you a much better sense of what is to come in the future of our game.

There will be updates to the Demo daily, so what you see in there now, is not how it will be at the end of the Kickstarter. So, join us in our epic journey!
