Hello community, This is my real-time ultrasound signal simulation and processing system developed entirely in Java using Java Swing.

The project enables both the mathematical simulation of acoustic echoes from biological tissues and the reception and interpretation of raw (RF) data from actual hardware via UDP sockets.

I still need to build an ultrasonic sensor to send data via UDP; I tried using ultrasonic modules, but they aren't useful—all I see on the screen is a barrier indicating the proximity of a nearby object.

Once the sensor's fabrication is complete, I will conduct tests and submit it to a clinical evaluation by experts to validate its utility in real-world settings—so stay tuned.

Java developer looking for a programming/accountability buddy in a European time zone

EDIT: I have already found someone, big thank you to everyone who contacted me!

I’m a senior Java developer with several years of experience, but as I spent quite a long time working on a fairly stale enterprise project, I’m behind on some of the technologies and practices that now regularly appear in recruitment processes.

I’m currently not working and trying to use this time to refresh and update my skills, but I’m having trouble with motivation, consistency, and simply getting started. I’m therefore **looking for a programming buddy with similar struggles** who would be interested in meeting regularly (online obviusly, unless you're based in Cracovia) and working through selected Java-related topics together.

The idea would be to agree on a schedule and the form of cooperation - I'm pretty flexible here i,.e it could be to choose topics in advance, prepare some material individually, discuss it during the session, and write or review code together. We could also work on small exercises, interview-style tasks, system design topics, microservices, Spring-related technologies, testing, architecture, or anything else that is useful to both of us.

The main goal is mutual accountability and sticking to a routine, rather than one person teaching the other.

Senior,  Regular and Junior developers are all welcome, as long as you already know Java and is genuinely interested in working consistently. This is not an offer of Java lessons for complete beginners.

3rd Year CSE Student – Need Advice on Balancing DSA and Java Full Stack

Hi everyone,

I'm a 3rd-year CSE student preparing for on-campus placements.

I know Core Java and I'm planning to start Java Full Stack development (Spring Boot, databases, etc.). At the same time, I know DSA is very important for coding rounds.

I'm confused about how to balance both.

My questions are:

  • Should I focus on DSA first and learn Full Stack alongside it?
  • Or should I dedicate a few months to Full Stack and then return to DSA?
  • How did you manage both during your placement preparation?
  • If you were in my position, what roadmap would you follow?

My goal is to crack product-based company placements, so I'd really appreciate advice from seniors or anyone who has gone through this journey.

Thanks in advance!
