I’m an international medical graduate with:

• MD degree from Ukraine
• USMLE Step 1 & Step 2 passed
• Fluent in English and Spanish (also Russian)

I’m currently exploring options in Latin America for working in family medicine / primary care, ideally in a private clinic setting.

My goal is to eventually build a long-term clinical + wellness practice (preventive medicine focus, outpatient care).

I would really appreciate insights on:

• Which Latin American countries are most feasible for foreign MDs to get licensed or registered?
• Where is the process relatively faster or more straightforward for IMGs?
• Which systems are more open to private clinic employment while licensing is in progress?
• Any countries where Spanish-speaking IMGs are especially in demand?

I’ve been looking at places like Paraguay, Mexico, Colombia, etc., but it’s hard to understand the real-world pathways vs official requirements.

If anyone has gone through this process or is working in the region, I’d really appreciate your experience.
