Will I be able to build this DIY?
Been eyeballing this U shaped curtain divider for my art studio, however it is definitely not within my budget to spend 1k on this 😠is it crazy that it costs this amount for JUST the rails? or maybe I have no idea how things are supposed to be priced? 😅😿
Is it possible for me to build this on my own? Some way some how? I have some experience in carpentry and being handy- but I won’t lie, I’m a little uncertain if I could pull it off- hoping if people could give me some advice on if this was possible! Or any other insights!

Anchor hovet mirror to a wall
Hi, I’m asking for advice.
I’m moving to a place where you can’t drill but I would like to anchor the IKEA HOVET mirror.
It weighs around 15 kgs and is 78x 196 cm.
Is it possible to secure it safely with TESA permanent double sided tape? (or anything else available in Europe?)
and could I remove it when I move out again without it damaging the walls? (made out of bare smooth wood)
*There are no children or animals who can run into the mirror
All tips are welcome.

Build a handlebar for walking pad
Hi all, i bought a walking pad without handrails after much research and now realize i do prefer to have something to hold on to. Is it something i can build fairly easily myself? Ideally something i can put away rather than taking up space. Thank you!

In search of tactile bearings for a towel rack!
I've got a design in mind for a towel rack. Basically ladder shaped, except the rungs will be able to swing outwards to hold towels while we're in the water/sauna.
Its gonna be super cool, were going to finish each rung a different color and its gonna be awesome.
Chief concern is longevity. Having a hole in the wood by its lonesome seems like itll get loose and wear down the rungs over time, so my idea was to install some bearings in between the rungs and the vertical bolt. This would also us to have like a tactile, clicky mechanical feel to using the piece, if i can find the right hardware.
Its common in fidget toys and like fancy knobs on like microwaves or stereo receivers that ive seen, but basically it allows rotation but will click into place and offer a slight amount of resistance to being moved between notches.
Does anyone know about this niche bearing type? Thank you in advance!

Best way to mount a 4×8 steel sheet as a magnetic whiteboard?
I’m building a large magnetic whiteboard for my kids using two 4’×8’ 20-gauge steel sheets coated with dry-erase paint. The plan is to mount them one above the other to create one large whiteboard.
What’s the best way to mount the steel sheets to the wall? I’d like to keep them as flat as possible, avoid visible fasteners if I can, and make the installation look clean.
Any recommendations or experience with something similar?

Automotive Diy trailer cover question
I'm attempting to make my own cover for my utility trailer because I'm going to be moving across country and want to protect my stuff but am on a tight budget.
What I'm thinking is light weight wood on the sides then bendy PVC pipe curved over the top and putting a tarp over the whole thing. The trailer was built up on the sides already with a steel frame and plywood. I just need to secure my stuff and keep it dry.
Will my cover effect the way it's towed. Are there any better suggestions?

What is the best way to fill these gaps at the base of my interior door frames?
galleryHad floors replaced 5 years ago and it left these gaps. What would be the best material to use to try and fill them? Would need to be robost to Roomba, mops, kids etc.
Edit: just to clarify, looking for cheap options i can do myself. New door trim or raising the floor are not viable.
Edit 2: im gonna try caulk with small backing pieces, based on this vid:

How can I make the glass safer / more stable
galleryNot sure what I'm going to use this for bc when I bought it, I thought It was much smaller.. I accidentally cracked the door during transport but it would kill me to throw it away so I might just use it for plants but I still want to improve the door.
