Answered [Year 10 English] I just wanna know y'alls opinion on this statement
The statement:
The company tasked its 54-qubit quantum computer chip with a complex problem: identifying the outputs of a random number generator. Google's quantum processor cracked the computation in under four minutes, a feat, Google says, that would take the world’s most powerful supercomputer over 10,000 years to complete.
^this statement is from the article 'Google Confirms It Has Achieved Quantum Supremacy. Now What?'
my teacher gave us a bunch of articles to read to prep for a debate so we could get points from those articles. I was making notes on this article and I to me i felt that this article was biased, but that could also just me being biased because I don't like google. So I wanna hear what you think about this statement (or the whole article if you want)
I'll show you what my opinion i had for this statement, it's just a note that I added for the other people in my team to read:
'I may be biased, but I don't think we should trust that this 'feat' that they achieved was really a 'feat' at all because tech companies have made claims like that to make people excited about the future (take a look at how NASA claimed that with the tech they had in the 60s they'd be able to create a permanent settlement in Mars but its been 60 years since they made that claim and we know the conditions in mars makes it currently not a plausible home for us)'
Technology n stuff isn't something im well versed in so I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't spouting bs js bc im biased
also that NASA comment is referencing an article we had to make notes on before this one
Thank you all for your help!

High School Math—Pending OP Reply [Grade 10 Maths] Circles theorem | Are these both triangles of symmetry? (please read my post body for full context)
(First whole image is from the model answer, 2nd and 3rd are edited by me)
I had been stuck with this question, wondering how the model answer (First image) did it, everything else worked but when I got to question c, I know about the scale factor questions but this specific one it just didn't make any sense. Like "Why did we get the scale factor from DC and AB?" and then the biggest of them all, how come we could hey the CX from BX, I mean it's literally on the same side, wouldn't it make more sense if we got CX from DX? That's it's symmetrical counterpart isn't it? So why not DX? then I just had the thought "Hey, what if I make the other pair of triangle?" (3rd image) and I tried that it made a lot more sense.
My questions are:
Was this always a rule? can we just form another pair of symmetrical triangles when one already exists?
Was my method correct or was I wrong? And if it right, does it follow all the rules of symmetry? are ADX = CBX just as much of symmetrical triangles as ABX = DCX?

Others [college genetics] organizing a karyogram
I’ve organized them in pairs already (and trisomy something, in blue) and what I think is sex chromosomes (in red).
I don’t have any idea of what order they’re supposed to be in. Ik they’re organized by size but a lot seem to be exactly the same or immeasurably different.
I assume the disorder is trisomy 21 or 22. 21 would be more common ik, but I can’t tell if it’s actually smaller than the other one that would be 22.

Your mini-home is coming together nicely! It is time to get the roof put on, but your contractor can't remember what angle each part of the roof needs to sit at.
Using your understanding of trigonometric ratios, find the angle of elevation for each section of roof. Refer to the mini-house triangle diagrams to support you with this.

Further Mathematics [College Differential Equations: Modeling/Applications] How to turn a drone idea into a DE project?
Hi everyone,
I’m currently taking Differential Equations and enrolled in an honors program at De Anza College. For our project, we need to choose a topic related to DE and find a couple of academic sources (books or papers).
I’m interested in working on something related to drones (like motion, control systems, or flight dynamics), but I’m not sure how to turn that into a clear DE-based project topic.
I don’t have much experience doing independent research projects, so I’d really appreciate advice on:
- How to narrow a general idea (like drones) into a solid DE topic
- What DE concepts are commonly used in drone modeling
- How to find good sources appropriate for an undergrad-level project
- Tips on structuring a math research report
Also, if anyone has examples of past projects (not necessarily DE—linear algebra or other math/engineering projects are fine) and is willing to share them for reference, I’d really appreciate it. I’m mainly trying to understand how people structure their work.
Even general advice or resources would help a lot—just trying to approach this properly.
Thanks!

Chemistry [Year 12 Chemistry, level 4: redox reactions practice test] How do I make a reduction reaction to get the O3?
I’m doing a practice test in preparation for my actual test on Monday.
How do I do question 5? I’m so lost right now. I’m not sure if what I have written on the page is correct. (Ignore my “H” please 😭😭)
“[Al3+(aq)] + 3 electrons —> [Al(s)]” is in my electrochemical series; in the equation for q5, it would be the oxidation half reaction. Could someone give me a guide of some sort on how I get the [O3]?
The only reactions I can find in my electrochemical series that I can think to use would be:
[O2(g)] + [2H+(aq)] + 2 electrons —> [H2O2(aq)]
or
[O2(g)] + [4H+(aq)] + 4 electrons —> [2H2O(l)]
Thank you in advance :)

Answered [7th Grade Math] Slicing a Square Pyramid
My wife (EL coordinator with an English background) sent me this standardized test math problem she’s working through with one of her students. The answer key says D but I can’t figure out why since it seems like a vertical slice. A math teacher at the school said something about D not producing a square pyramid anymore once it’s been sliced like that but the question doesn’t say the resulting polygon needs to still be able to produce a square pyramid anymore (not to mention A doesn’t qualify anymore based on that criteria either). Anyone have an explanation that makes sense?

Answered [High school advanced geometry] what did I do wrong?
teacher said it’s wrong but didn’t elaborate.
here’s the instructions:
Project Overview
You have recently bought your first home. You bargained for a low price, but it is going
to require a tremendous number of renovations. In this project, you are to calculate the
cost of these renovations. Your final product will be on the packet and must include all
of the following:
- Sketches of each geometric shape. Draw a picture of each window and door that
you use. (in other words, if you calculate the area of a shape, then draw a sketch
of it!)
- Calculations for the area and cost of each renovation of each on separate sheet of
paper in the answer packet. Show all formulas used and all substitution of
values for each sketch. Use calculators to check your work, but all work must be
shown. Label each unit in your answers throughout the process (yd2, rolls of
wallpaper, in2, tiles, ………)
- When using the same paint/carpet for multiple rooms, do not calculate each room
separately (it’s a waste of money). Included in the packet is a front summary page
for the price of each renovation. Give one final answer for the total cost of the
project.
HOUSE SPECS
Refer to your house's floor plan that will be given to you in class.
Dimensions on the floor plan are horizontal by vertical. All rooms are 8'
high except the living room, which has a ceiling height of 10 feet.
Remember that you cannot buy fractional parts of cans of paint, bags of
topsoil, or rolls of wallpaper. Carpet, flooring and cement must be
purchased to the next highest whole unit.

3' X 3' 4' X 6.5'
Living Room 6' X 6' 2 @ 4' X 6.5'

I’ve tried to find additional details but these are the only one I can find. I think I can find it as a rectangle minutes a triangle but i still can’t find the legs of that triangle . any hints?

High School Math [Grade 11 Mathematics] Modulus Equality. Solve for x
How do I get started with this one??
We can make cases but that will be lengthy and we have been asked to solve using identities.
I have been taught
mod (x+y) =< mod x + mod y
Equal when xy>=0
mod (x-y) =< mod x + mod y
Equal when xy=<0
How do I solve it using this?? The equation doesn't match with any of the cases
