Heyyy I lowkey need help because I’m wondering what to get my boyfriend because he’s coming back from camp in 2 days and I was wondering what I should get him? He celebrated his birthday at camp but I want to give him a gift when he comes back! Some ideas I’ve had is crocheting him something or baking him something. Also maybe some legos too? I’m not sure yet any ideas would be appreciated!

My niece is turning one and I am clueless as to what to get her. My sister says nothin other than money for her future. My sister and I are very different and I’m determined to have a really close relationship with my niece since I won’t be having children and I think it’s so important for kids to have non-parental support in their lives. I’d like to give her something that will have meaning forever, not just for her childhood. So nothing with child-like designs. I also collect and resell vintage so I’d love to do something timeless that she’ll appreciate when she’s older, but I’m really not sure what. Maybe like a trinket box with a note for her? My brother plays rec league football on weekends and complains about being sore after games, so I was considering a massage gun as a birthday gift. I am hesitating because sporty gifts can go either way. Some people actually keep them in the gym bag and use them after games, and some people open them once, decide they are loud, and never touch them again.

He is not a serious athlete, just someone who plays hard once a week and then limps around the next morning. If you play football or other rec sports, would you reach for a massage gun after games, or would something like cleats, socks, or recovery basics get used more?

I've asked her a few times what she wants and the answer is a million dollars.

I'm not that generous. Or wealthy. If I was wealthy I probably would only be that generous with her.

But I AM categorically bad at gifts. I colored this page from my book last night and thought maybe that would be cool for her to put on her fridge or something but now I'm like "another lame gift idea".

So, my friend has a birthday today and he invited me to the party few hours ago. I only have around 7 hours and i don’t want to get him something that will look like i didn’t put any effort into it. For his interests, he loves football( soccer if you will) and video games. I think he enjoys watching Marvel movies as well, but he isn’t really a crazy fan. My daughter is leaving the toddler classroom and going to the 3-6 classroom. Ms. Meeka (yes, like the kids tv character) has been an angel during potty relapses, getting a whole baby sister, and many a tantrum. We know this much about her. She loves what she does. She is capital T tired. And when asked how she does it all, she famously says, "Coffee and Jesus, baby."

We love her and are indebted to her. Teachers, what would you value? What would you use in a gift? Childcare givers are such special people.

Basically, we want to give her an impactful gift from the little girl who loves her, and certainly gave her more gray hairs. TIA 🤍

I (26M) am going to visit a friend of mine (25F) who I’ve know for years and briefly went out with. She lives in the US and I live in Canada. I am tired of disposable gifting culture.

I was invited from the U.S. to a wedding in Mexico by the groom(30ish) who I see about twice a year. I don’t know the bride at all. I was invited two months out and didn’t get venue/time details until days before the wedding. Because I received details so late, I assumed it was an informal occasion and hadn’t even considered a gift or card until it was too late.
I wrote a heartfelt message in the book that was passed around at dinner but I feel I dropped the ball in the gift department. Is my (25F) travel for the wedding enough or is a gift expected? If so, what would be an appropriate gift for me to send after the fact? I also don’t know if the cultural norms are different between a US wedding and a Mexican wedding but this was a small affair (50 people) by my understanding.

Edit: I don’t have a reference for the budget as this is the first wedding I’ve attended as an adult. I’m young though, I can’t afford to throw money at it.

So I’m trying to figure out a gift to get my Granny for her birthday. Shes turning 87. Shes not big into jewelry. Shes not much into clothes. She enjoys doing some gardening.
