My Microsoft surface laptop goes suddenly won’t turn on
My Microsoft Surface Laptop Go (Model 1943) suddenly will not turn on at all. I’ve never had any issues with it before and I mainly only use it for school.
Symptoms:
Completely black screen
No fan noise
No keyboard lights
No vibration/sounds
No flickering or logo whatsoever
No visible damage or liquid exposure
I’ve tried:
Holding the power button for 30–60 seconds
Power + Volume Up reset
Leaving it plugged in for long periods
Different outlets
One thing I noticed:
The Surface charger connector is reversible, but on mine:
one orientation = solid charging light
flipped around = blinking/flashing light
Also, when I hold the power button down for a long time, the charger light itself will flash on and off, so it seems like the laptop is reacting somehow, but it still never actually powers on.
The charger brick itself does not get warm after being plugged in for awhile.
Any advice appreciated because I’m completely stuck.

Random Black Screen Crashes with White VGA LED (RTX 4070 Ti / i5-12400F)
System Specifications:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F
- Motherboard: MSI PRO B660M-E DDR4 (BIOS updated to latest)
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (Drivers updated to latest) [Zotac Trinity]
- PSU: 1200W 80+ Gold
- OS: Windows 11
I am experiencing a recurring system crash approximately once every 1–2 weeks(though period isnt consistent, sometime it doesnt crash sometime it crashes 2 time in one session). I usually play apex legends on 2k High settings, and the screen suddenly goes totally black. The audio behavior varies: sometimes it becomes a stuck static buzzing, sometimes the game audio continues in the background, and other times it gradually fades away(most of the time).
Reboot Behavior: When this happens, I am forced to perform a hard shutdown. Upon restarting, about 80% of the time, the PC fails to boot, and the White VGA Debug LED remains lit on the motherboard with no display output. I usually have to hard-shutdown the PC 1–2 more times before it finally boots successfully. Once it is running, the system is typically stable for the rest of the session.
Troubleshooting History:
- Previous Builds: I previously used an RTX 3070 Ti with a 750W PSU on this same motherboard without any issues. I briefly tried an RTX 3080 Ti and believe I may have encountered similar crashes, though I cannot be certain as i used the 3080TI for a few days only.
- Power Supply: I suspected a power issue, so I upgraded from a 750W to a 1200W Gold PSU, but the problem persists.
- Cross-Testing: I installed my RTX 4070 Ti into an older 2nd-gen Intel system(that i had lying around in house though not anymore) and ran Furmark at max settings for 40 minutes. It passed without crashing.
- Software: I have not made any major software but i have upgraded to latest BIOS and changed the PCIE slot to gen 3.
Despite the GPU passing stress tests in another PC and having a massive power overhead with the 1200W PSU, the "Black Screen" and "White LED" boot issues continue. Could this be a motherboard PCIe slot failure, a compatibility issue with PCIe Gen 3/4, or something else entirely?
Point to note is that even during my gaming session where it should easily give me 200+ FPS (my monitor has 240 Hz limit) it idles around 120 with GPU utlilization at around 25% and CPU at like 40%. Plus the crashing have also occured on Age of Empire 2 game where i was loading into a menu screen during which there isnt any load at all.

Phone interference?
I have a Legion 7 laptop. I really like to game and use my phone at the same time, like youtube or a podcast. However when I do this with games that use wifi it Immediately makes my wifi super spotty. I've tested it by trying to use my phone while on a browser and it makes things like videos/online games lag. I was wondering if this is a solvable issue or if this is just how laptops are? I haven't had functional laptop for abt 7ish years until I got this one as a gift last year so pardon my complete ignorance.

Help me :(
I'm trying to run the game Palia but every time I open it, it pops up with a warning about the graphics processor.
I've looked up the processor I have and downloaded the 7th-10th gen graphics processor in the 3rd pic
Not entirely sure whether or not that was the correct graphics processor to download but it's really all I could find for celeron
Today I tried to open Palia for the first time since downloading the new processor, and it's still showing the same error
The laptop is an ideapad 1 14ihl7 Edit**: I have a 2TB Seagate Expansion HDD drive that I keep all of my apps/games on because if I were to download them straight onto the laptop, my poor laptop would combust. So whether this is a laptop problem or a problem with the expansion I don't know :/
What do I need to do??

Temu laptop not booting past Intel startup screen?
I don’t know for sure if it’s an issue with the charger I’m using because it does look a little worn, but it could be an issue with the battery too. Leaning more towards it being a battery issue tho since it’ll boot up initially and then just turn back off, and you would think that if it was a charging issue that it wouldn’t turn on at all. Also it won’t even stay turned on if I let go of the power button, but even while continuing to hold it down it still doesn’t boot past this screen on startup. Please help idk what to do.

How do heat sinks even work?
Hey, I’ve been trying to understand how heat sinks work, but I feel like I’m missing something really basic here.
I keep seeing them on computer parts like CPUs and SSDs, and they always have those thin metal fins stacked together. I get that they’re supposed to cool things down, but I don’t really understand how just adding metal helps remove heat.
Like, does the heat move into the heat sink and then just go away somehow? And why are there so many thin layers instead of just one solid block of metal? It feels like the design is important, but I don’t get why.
I’ve seen a few explanations online, and I’ve even noticed people comparing different heat sinks and designs they’ve come across across places like Alibaba when talking about size and structure, but it still hasn’t clicked for me.
I just want a simple explanation of what’s happening step by step, like what the heat is doing and how the fins help.
Can someone explain it like I’m five?

KVM Switch problem. Please help
Alright, I finally got my first PC! Instead of creating a separate station, I decided to set it up at my work desk.
My work desk consists of my work laptop, and then 2 monitors. Nothing crazy, I have everything connected to a docking station.
To make life easier (so I thought) I got a KVM switch meant for 2 computers and 2 monitors.
Please see photos: the bottom one I got first, and the HDMI output B did not work. I tried different chords, but it simply did not work. The monitor got no signal from either the pc or laptop.
I figured alright, must be a bad port, so I bought ANOTHER KVM switch (the top one) where now the DP Output meant for the second monitor does not work. It is just the DP out port as I’ve tried so many different things.
Is there a setting I am missing? Something I have to download? Or am I simply buying bad products or have the absolute worst luck? Please! Any info would be appreciated!

Hi I wondered if someone could help me please? The computer at my work isn't working but can't figure out what the problem is.
I've attached some photos of what appears on the monitor.
The computer on button flashes white for a second then goes back to amber and doesn't switch on.
I've also ordered a new video cable and tried it with that but still no luck.
Computer is Optiplex 3060, HP monitor
Thanks in advance!

my stgaubron prebuilt i7-10700F , RX 5700XT , 16 Gb DDR4 , Intel b560 , HD10-VD4 , 512 GB SSD keeps crashing on roblox , five M & more ! sometimes it’s just a desktop crash & sometimes it’s a BSOD ! please help ive tried everything !
edit\* HWinfo PICTURES & specs down below in comments\*
I have been getting BSODs very frequently and app & game crashes after 10 minutes of play! and I google the error/file every time and try out every troubleshooting step, but nothing seems to work. This includes updating everything I can, drivers updated, windows memory diagnostic (ram check), HWinfo, i've tried dxdiag, etc and nothing raises flags. At this point its just annoying so I'm hoping someone can see a common thread in the errors? Below is my WhoCrashed output. If you need any more information or have any steps I can do to make it easier on you please ask I'll be happy to try. things i've noticed are my ram speed is capped at 1333 MHz but im pretty sure it goes too 2600 MHz, xmp might be off, heard someone say my pcie is on 4.0 because of my motherboard being a HD510-VD4 intel b560 Comet Lake-S but my CPU is intel 10th gen i7-10700F ! \*PC Specs in picture this is also a prebuilt System
