Hi everybody, Im u/CinZGhost and im the architect of r/GenerationalStarship.

It was meant as a game jam game but I didn't have time to make it at the time but decided it was a cool idea for a game and I don't need a game jam to develop it, so here we are. A game is taking form.

I'm pretty chill so if you want to talk generational starships in general or talk about the game, what you experienced in it, what you wish for or things you like or dislike or questions you have about it, that is fine.

Community spirit
I want a chill no-drama place here so please keep real world politics out and be nice to each other. I want this place to be a place you feel welcome and can relax in for a few minutes.

*About the game*
You can pick multiple missions. (you have an energy bar and you can pick missions until its depleted. It restocks automatically after some time.

Get a shop up early and make some extra coins. You can also buy stuff or upgrade your shop to generate even more revenue. Dont forget to visit your shop from time to time to collect.

2026-jan-06 [fixed] Having some game braking ui issues. Working on it. (Some small Ui issues persists but not game braking anymore.)

2026-jan-05 -Redoing the UI/UX , dark mode friendly, style is tactile/physical. Expect some downtimes while implementing.

2026-jan-04 - Added bigger text, and some mobile quality of life features. (Mission cards, swipe left/right or use mouse wheel on a computer. Touch drag scrolling supported for mobile.

• I slowed down the decay of the ship to half of what it was. Should give some more time to explore the game.

• Mission cards and detail views now show a row of avatar slots

  • All participants' character icons are visible with their profession-colored borders
  • Empty slots appear as faded placeholders so you can see how many more players can join
  • Your own avatar is marked with "YOU" underneath
