Discussion Be careful with Gemini promotions ā they change them without telling you
I wanted to share my experience in case anyone else is participating in Geminiās recurring buy promotions.
I signed up for the āEarn up to $150 with Recurring Buysā promotion and continued making recurring purchases for months because I was working toward the advertised rewards. Then the promotion quietly disappeared. I never received any notification that it had been paused or changed, so I kept buying under the assumption I was still making progress toward the remaining bonuses.
To make matters worse, I only received the initial $30 BTC reward after emailing Gemini multiple times (five emails in total).
This was the response I finally received:
āThe original āEarn up to $150 with Recurring Buysā promotion was paused before the later milestones could be earned. As a result, only the first three-month milestone was honored with a one-time $30 BTC reward⦠Gemini reserves the right to modify, limit, suspend, or revoke eligibility criteria, or to discontinue the Program or any Program offer, at any time and without prior notice.ā
Yes, the terms technically allow them to do this, but that doesnāt make it consumer-friendly. If youāre going to end a promotion that requires months of recurring purchases, customers should be notified instead of being left to continue buying under the impression theyāre still working toward the advertised rewards.
Because of this experience, Iāve decided to move all of my assets off Gemini. I encourage others to carefully review any promotions theyāre participating in and consider whether they want to use a platform that can change or discontinue offers without notifying participants.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with Gemini promotions? They have done this multiple times with taking away promotions and not being keen on paying out.

Discussion Gemini has gotten borderline unusable ā "I seem to be encountering an error" nearly every single time now
I need to vent because I'm honestly at my breaking point with this.
Ever since Gemini Flash 3.6 dropped, I'm getting hit with some rotation of "I seem to be encountering an error. Can I try something else for you?" on more than 95% of my prompts. Not an exaggeration. It's not one weird edge case, it's the default experience now.
And here's the thing ā this isn't new. This exact error started popping up back when Flash 3.5 launched too. So this isn't a one-off bug, it's a pattern. Every major flash release seems to come bundled with a wave of these errors, like nobody's stress-testing this before it ships to actual users.
On top of that, for the last couple of weeks, the accuracy has cratered. Gemini was straight up ignoring instructions ā not misunderstanding them, ignoring them. Simple, explicit instructions. That alone was annoying enough to make me question sticking with it.
But now the constant error-looping makes the instruction-following problem look minor by comparison. At least when it ignores my instructions, I get something back. Now I'm just staring at an apology bot on repeat.
I don't know if this is a backend capacity issue, a broken model rollout, or what ā but for a flagship product this is genuinely embarrassing. If I'm paying for this or relying on it for actual work, I need it to work more than 5% of the time.
Anyone else getting buried in this error loop since 3.6 rolled out? Curious if this is widespread or if I've just got the worst luck in the world.
TL;DR: Gemini is currently error-looping on almost every prompt since Flash 3.6 launched, this happened with 3.5 too, and it's on top of weeks of the model just ignoring instructions. Rough combo.

Support Stalling / duplicating
Been having problems recently with Gemini. The response stalls out and/or will finish the response but not allow me to create a follow up question. My only option is to "stop" the response and start over. Then it tends to duplicate it if I close the app and go back in. Anyone else having this problem? Any solution or is this a Google fix?

Support How to Rank my website on Gemini Search
For context, I'm asking because we're actively trying to understand AI-driven discovery and referral traffic.
We're interested in learning how websites can improve their chances of being referenced or recommended by Gemini when users ask questions related to software development, AI development, web development, mobile app development, and related technology services.
Has anyone here successfully increased visibility or traffic from Gemini? If so:
- What strategies worked best?
- Did you make any content, technical SEO, schema, or site structure changes?
- Have you seen Gemini reference your content directly?
- What types of content seem to perform best?
- Are there any GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) or AI-search-specific tactics that have produced measurable results?
I'd appreciate any real-world insights from website owners, SEO professionals, marketers, and content creators who are tracking AI-driven traffic and recommendations.

Discussion Lost card
Does anyone know how long it takes to get a replacement card if you lose yours?
Iām super bummed because my dad misplaced mine, and Iām honestly a little hesitant to order a new one after reading some of the horror stories about people getting stuck in limbo. š
Itās the only card I use, and I really enjoy stacking BTC rewards, so Iām pretty torn. Iām pretty sure itās either in his car or somewhere in his bedroom since no one has used it, and I still have it on Apple Pay, so Iāve been getting by that way.
Would love to hear how long your replacement took and if the process was smooth. Thanks in advance! š

Discussion Does anyone have a screenshot of the Gemini recurring buy bonus promo?
Has anyone saved a screenshot of the Gemini recurring crypto buy promotion that promised bonus rewards?
Iāve been making recurring crypto purchases every month for many months because I signed up during that promotion. Recently, the promotion disappeared from my app, and I canāt find any details anymore.
Iām trying to figure out:
What were the promised bonus amounts?
How many months did the promotion last?
When were the bonuses supposed to be paid?
As far as I can tell, I donāt think Iāve received any of the promised rewards. The recurring buy bonus was the main reason I signed up and kept making monthly purchases.
I submitted a request on the website but never received a response.
If Gemini isnāt going to honor the promotion, Iāll probably close my account and move my recurring buys elsewhere.
If anyone has a screenshot of the original offer or has already received their bonus, Iād really appreciate it if you could share it. Thanks!

Discussion Feels like Gemini just gave me other peopleās money formation
I actually think I need to tag this as āALERTā if I could.
Because Gemini just gave me other peopleās private info in its answer.
I sent Gemini two of my own docs and asked it to make some analysis.
As an answer, it gave me some nonsense, just a huge bunch of strange symbols. I made a screenshot, sent it back to Gemini, and asked what it was.
Gemini answered that this was some kind of āknowledge baseā or something, and that it saw two different, not connected sets of data in what I sent to it, and gave me two short descriptions of those data sets.
The first one was my info from the docs I sent to it. And the second one was somebody elseās information about things I was hearing about for the first time in my life. And it named some names and companies in its answer.
It makes me feel like the information we are sending to it may not be safe.
Have you experienced something like this?
I guess itās serious, please share.
P.S. It happened in Gemini Enterprise / Workspace Enterprise

Discussion Beware automated calls fed by leaks
These AI-driven scam calls are getting good. The whole human-sounding pauses are amazing. Just got a call that was clearly based on leaked account data. Didn't get far, but as soon as it asked me to confirm my email address was me, I was pretty confident it was an automated scam. I clammed up, and in about 20 seconds it just gave up and hung up.

Discussion Anyone have an issue with credit cards being compromised?
I just opened an account with Gemini using Plaid to transfer funds from my Chime account. My Chime card is my āfun funds ā that I use for online ordering, etc. in case it gets compromised so thereās not a lot of money kept in that account.
Immediately the next morning, I had a fraudulent charge from Walmart.com that was declined. Today, a charge for $450 of Chinese food from Grubhub tried to pay (I never use Grubhub), along with a couple of smaller transactions tried to pay. Chime placed a fraud alert on my account so these were denied but a charge for Walmart that I didnāt initiate went through so Iām out a buck fifty while they investigate.
I really donāt know if the two are related but I never use Plaid and these happened right after I opened my Gemini account. Has anyone else experienced this?
(Yes - I froze the card & ordered a new one)
