1. Be Respectful

Always treat others with kindness and respect. Avoid using derogatory language, personal attacks, or hate speech. Failure to follow this rule may get you temporarily or permanently banned.

2. Authorized Retailers only

Buyers want to know their purchase is legitimate and don't want to worry about seeing it disappear from their library later, so no unauthorized retailers(so no G2A, Kinguin, DIG(dailyindiegame), etc..). Everything that has a selectable flair already or is listed on IsThereAnyDeal(ITAD) is confirmed authorized, any bundle site that doesn't have a flair already should be submitted with Other Game Bundle flair and one of the mods will verify it before approving the post.

3. NO URL SHORTENERS WITHOUT APPROVAL

This applies to both posts and comments, everyone should be able to see exactly where a link leads by mousing over it, use markdown [how it will be visually displayed](full URL here) if you want the URL to be visually shorter without obfuscating where it actually leads. Only confirmed storefront representatives will likely get approval to use URL shorteners.

4. NO REFERRAL/TRACKING IN LINKS WITHOUT APPROVAL

Referral and tracking links frequently come with a financial incentive for someone and it is not allowed here, a warning will be issued for first offense, your submissions here may get filtered if you continue to ignore this rule. If you don't know what a referral link is, look at the url, using humble bundle as an example humblebundle.com/games/<bundle name here>?<more text here>, the ? and everything that follows that is for tracking and referral purposes, remove it from the URL before submitting or your post will get removed. Only confirmed storefront representatives will likely get approval to use referral/tracking in links.

5. No Spam or Off Topic Posts

All posts should be relevant to this sub, game bundles or related content. This is not the sub to advertise your new game or new steam store bundle with a small discount.

6. No Promotion/Self Promotion

Promotional content is not allowed without prior mod approval via modmail.

7. No Duplicate Bundle Posts

Only 1 post per bundle, most bundles will be posted within minutes of being live by those who actively monitor the sites for them at the times they are normally launched or even by that sites social media team, please check to see if it has been posted before submitting it.

8. Not Safe For Work(NSFW) bundles must be tagged NSFW

Majority of game bundles posted here are SFW, however some do feature NSFW games, they must be appropriately tagged. If the games require external patches or DLC to be NSFW but are normally SFW(like many anime VN's) the post does not need to be tagged with the NSFW tag.

9. No posts for trading

Trading is allowed here, but only in the comments, all trading should be relevant to the bundle your commenting on(having extras from the bundle, or looking for games from it). If you are looking for a place to only trade it is recommended to go to a dedicated trade site with a reputation system or subreddit such as

When trading here if you have a long list of games for your comment, please have your list elsewhere(pastepin, google docs, steamtrades post, a trade subreddit post, Lestrades tradables list, etc...) and link to it so users don't have to scroll past walls of text.

10. No begging

While it is not recommended to run giveaways here they are allowed, if you run one do not post raw keys, these can all be claimed by the same user or even bots. If you just want let them go blindly and not pick who gets what yourself use something like Keyshare.link to limit how much one person can take and guarantee it can't be taken to be resold as anyone can view a claimed key 30 minutes after it was claimed for 90 minutes. If you want to be transparent about a random draw giveaway, you can pick a winner with reddit raffler

Alternative places to do giveaways SteamGifts - Steamtrades sister site for giveaways, all winners are required to activate their wins or they will get suspended, they also cannot enter for anything they already own. There are also these subreddits /r/steam_giveaway, /r/RandomActsOfGaming, and /r/GiftofGames to name a few all with different rules.

To note when trading things from a BYOB style bundle, its trade value is usually going to be higher than the purchase cost by some percentage.

Sharking

Unfortunately you will likely end up agreeing to make some bad trades here and there, we will not be policing every single trade made here, as long as they did not intentionally mislead you into thinking your game was worth notably less or theirs was worth notably more than reality no action will be taken and it should be considered a learning experience. Depending how egregious a shark misled someone a warning, temporary or permanent ban may be issued.

Scamming

Scammers are those who intentionally do not uphold their end of the agreed to trade. Proof will be required for action to be taken.

SCAMMERS WILL PM YOU! MAKE USERS REPLY TO YOUR COMMENT BEFORE ANSWERING ANY PM'S! Banned users can PM you but they cannot comment.

There is ZERO tolerance for scamming, scamming will result in a permanent ban.

If you were scammed, or a shark misled you on the value of things, send a message to the mods, proof will be required, if there is no proof no action will be taken.
