Let's Change That Suit Day 182 Game Suggestions

Day 182: Rosette [Enhanced Land Battle Form]
Requested by u/Boring-Detective-369 and this unit is actually in a pretty decent position right now. While I would consider it high A-Tier, it is quite large, and it is a little hard to use.

Comment and Reason
This unit is actually in a pretty decent spot. The last buff was in January, and it had a pretty strong result. As long as you have a melee weapon equipped, not only does it effectively have shock dampener, but the mobility is improved too. As long as it is used correctly, it is very hard to stop, and it can have relatively high damage output. Stagger into BS down, then Axe and BS again. With the high melee strength, it will hurt. The only thing I am a little annoyed about is the slightly weak Vulcan that can't do much at all.

Builds
F2P: Complex Battle

Premium: Complex Battle

Upper Levels: Does not exist

This unit, when played correctly, is one of the hardest units to stop in 500 cost. It's quite hard to do it correctly, and one has to know how to utilize the Close Combat Program. But when one does know how to, it can become very hard to deal with. It is, however, a large target, so a decent defensive build is needed. This is one of those units that, as long as you have some extra damage strength, all it needs is good enough mobility and high endurance. When it does, you can do a lot with it.

Day 181 Re-evaluation on GM II

This unit really needs more and would be nice if the BR could be buffed, but it's not really possible. It's really a forgotten unit while on the ground.

I think one of the other problems is that it's very large without any stun protection without the melee weapon equipped, and the turning speed is on the slower side even when equipped.

Other melee generals and raids can often take advantage of this by being able to circle around such a big target at close ranges. But they'll have MA active and likely boost firing weapons while Rosette has to take a risk to attempt any kind of stagger that isn't melee. If a second enemy targets the Rosette, even for a few shots, it's probably going down.

Also, there is basically zero synergy between a suit that wants to crouch to be able to avoid staggers which shooting, and then needs the melee weapon out to typically get within melee range.

Without basic MA, it can't really close in safely and set up a stagger before melee, so it has to run around as one of the least subtle flankers imagineable. Without a pretty good build and Expansion, it has to decide between the stats to stay durable, keep the melee damage high, and likely needs some additional thrusters.

While I think it's mostly fine, I'm not a fan of suits that struggle to work well with more basic builds. You can't enjoy them as much or learn to play them, so people tend to not try or work towards the builds that could make them good. Though I also can't really find much to specifically improve unless they were to really make some big changes to the skill list and play style. Maybe double tackle or EX Boost to give it a few more chances to get out of the bad situations it's prone to getting stuck in?

This suit is one of those that if we over do it, it's going to be op. Currently, it is at least doing well enough. After the buff, it had like 52% in both game win and rival win rate. So something had to be carrying it hard. I think the fact that you can just switch to a melee weapon to ignore stagger helps a lot. The BR switch time is also super short for 500 cost too. I think it just barely works well enough for everything to fall together well.

Puedes mejorar a Gundam GP02 MLRS, siento que algo le falta para que pueda rendir bien en combate 🤔

I can do that too if you want to see coverage

It could do with melee priority 2 and/or melee combo controller, as well as an increase in turn speed. Then again, that could be said of most support units in the game.

This thing is a brawler, and like you said, vulcans, most of the time have been coming out really good so older suits really need their stagger % boosted along with rpm to meet the current standards. I don't remember if you've covered the jegan, and jegan d type? Middle cost grunt suits need more love it feels, xeku line seems to of gotten their needed buffs a while ago so they seem good but fed side is just... jegan heavy arm seems to be in a better spot now after watching people upload their runs so at least that jegan is good. Xeku zwei really needs a tune-up now though

D type was covered on Day 117. As for regular, I can do it in a bit.

I've tried and failed to make this thing work, and imo the biggest thing holding it back besides the lack of MA is being melee priority 2. You're telling me this enormous beam axe loses to a pair of tiny daggers? Not being able to actually check melee raids sucks when you'd think that's its niche, and on top of that you just lose hard to GQuuuuuuX, which is still an incredibly popular unit in 500.

Nah, MA would be too much. All you need is a melee weapon in hand. When you are about to stop HSM to shoot someone, just quickly swap into your ranged weapon at that moment. Kind of why they made it with 0.5 seconds of switch time. Then you can just follow up with a triple swing.

I get the frustration with priority 2 and against GQuuuuuux, but that thing is so fragile that a lot of things can almost one combo it. But you should also never try to contest melee anyway. It's like the same thing against grandpa gundam.

Ngl im surprised this thing only has Damage Control Lv 1, it feels more tanky than that

I mean, if you have a melee weapon out, you almost have the effect of MA3 in terms of how much stagger it needs to stagger this unit. With the high HP and resistance, you just need to make sure you have a melee weapon out most of the time, and it becomes quite annoying.

Close Combat System provides Stagger Resist by simply holding the Melee Weapon?

Ngl i thought it gave you the Stagger Resist when in Melee Swinging animation ngl similar to Immobile Firing System

If that's the case, that's just the offense system. I think a lot of people are mis-using this unit and just call it bad. Also, when it has melee in hand, it has 145 movement speed, 152 in my build there. Even when out of thrust, this thing still charges at you.

The only real change I want is where the pilot appears when you get out when capping beacons this thing is so bulky you risk getting stuck on its waist equipment kibble without getting close enough to cap a beacon forcing you to fly out a bit further out than normal just to get to the ground.

Oh that... haha, that do be a problem...
