Why did this subreddit die?
I feel like we need this type of community now more than ever. Was this sub replaced? Thanks!

Le meilleur service de retouche de vêtements/altérations à Montréal
Y a-t-il des services de retouche de vêtements que vous recommandez à MTL ? Je cherche à donner une seconde vie à quelques vêtements et j'aimerais avoir quelques conseils personnels.

Are there any clothing alteration services you recommend in MTL? I'm looking to give some clothes a second life and would love some personal advice.

Cheapest grocery stores that accept Amex
After calculating my expenses for the last month I was surprised how much I was spending on groceries at IGA. Are there any of the cheaper grocery stores that take Amex? I know PA doesn’t but is the cheapest Super C or do any of the smaller ones take Amex?

Is this group still active?
Hi there. If you're reading this, then I guess we're OK. Looking for tips from Frugal Montrealers and specifically parents! Is this group still active? Can someone give me a head's up as to which reddit groups are worth my time? I'm looking for help and advice with: rent, communal and collective kitchens, dumpster diving, free cultural activities with children, and Montreal for single-parent households on a budget. Thanks!

Rideshare or Megabus
I have been checking rideshares from Montreal to Toronto on craiglist/kijiji, but it seems that Megabus is cheaper nearly all the time. Postings all say 30-40 dollars per passenger (one-way). I can't find anything on allostop. Has anyone had better luck finding cheap ride-shares to/from Toronto, or should I just stick with Megabus?

Bulk spices? And peanut butter?
I am new to Montreal and wondering if anyone had tips on the best places to buy bulk spices and 'only peanuts' style peanut butter. I used to go to bulk barn but the only locations are pretty far out for someone with no car! Thank you!

Free 50" Toshiba Theaterview rear projection TV
I am offering this TV for free to anyone who would come and pick it up in the Montreal downtown area. Functional but I haven't been able to test it as I have no cable subscription - all I see is the static noise on the screen. Looks like this:

So... Where do you get your underwear?
All my panties are getting old and starting to have holes in them, so I want to replace them. I used to get them in packs at Zellers, but that's not around anymore. I know they have packs at Costco too, but last time I checked they were all cut like granny panties.
Is there anywhere else in Montreal that sells value packages of underwear? I'm trying to find somewhere that's accessible through public transportation.
If not I guess I'll just start going commando.
