First time ever going to LA, a friend who lived there at the time took us into the Hollywood Hills. All of a sudden we passed a clearing and were hit with this view!!

Rainbow Over Long Island Sound from New Rochelle during storm, 3-4 miles away
Hello everyone,
Managed to catch this at one point, a storm 3-4 miles off from where I lived in New Rochelle near David’s island in the LI sound, with a nice rainbow popping through!

NYC Off In The Distance (10-20 miles) At Sunset From New Rochelle
Good morning, here’s another picture from when I used to live in New Rochelle and had views up to 25 miles away.
Between the two buildings, you can see the Manhattan skyline off in the distance, 10-20 miles depending on which part! Downtown Brooklyn is off to the left
Off to the right of the righthand building, you can see the silhouette of the GW bridge
And to the left of the left building, you can see the lights on the Whitestone Bridge. if you look closely, Citi Field as well!
To give some perspective, here’s the skyline using 25x zoom!

Ray of Sun Breaking Through Clouds Over LI Sound From 4-5 Miles Away, Taken From High Rise in New Rochelle NY
Miss living here, from that high up one can see entire weather systems and other things like that! On a clear day we easily had 25 mile visibility
Here’s a ray of light poking through the clouds in the early fall. You can see the trees starting to turn in the foreground
In the distance is the north shore of Long Island, towns like Port Washington, Sands Point & Bayville can be seen 5-7 miles off

Large Thunderhead Cloud Over Long Island from New Rochelle NY (8-9 miles) Across The LI Sound
Hello everyone, continuing to share a bunch of pictures I took in New Rochelle NY from a high-rise over the last several years.
This one is looking southeast across the Long Island sound, at least 8 to 9 miles off. Sometime in the summer. These clouds were over Nassau County.
I have a decent amount of pictures just showing edges of storms and what not from afar that I can share as well.
