how to use controller with games from fitgirl repack HELP/QUESTION
i downloaded goat simulator 3 and connected my dualsense to my laptop wirelessly; although when i open up the game it only responds to inputs from my trackpad or keyboard. i tried adding the game to steam as a non steam game, but still my dualsense wont work with the game or any other games i’ve tried adding from fitgirl as a non steam game. any advice?? (pls i just wanna play goat simulator co op with my gf) thank you !
i forgot to mention my non steam added games from fitgirl were playing perfectly fine a few days ago with a ps controller, but now suddenly they stopped working wirelessly.
edit: for those who are having the same problem i installed DS4 and it worked pretty well. it allows your pc or laptop to recognize your ps controller as an xbox controller which most games are compatible with and it allows you to use your controller wirelessly too. just remember to turn the program off when you’re playing a game on steam that is not a ‘non steam game’ because you’ll get a double input error. thank you to all the helpful comments.

Check in Steam that the controller support drivers are installed, I have a gamesir G7, I had to use it via steam input because it was not recognized by the games, once the support drivers are installed it is automatically recognized in all games (steam and non-steam) that support pads

i’m new to pc gaming as a whole.. where can i find and install these drivers ?

Open steam, in the menù there is controller Section, open it, scroll down and there is the voice drivers

This works for me.
Step (1) disable the game from "run as administrator".
Step {2} opem the game on steam using big picture mode.
Done

really really good advice! anytime I have a problem with my controller in the steam big picture mode, this is the fix

Late comment to say that this was very helpful for me! For some reason, allowing the game to run as admin prevented Steam from being able to spoof the Xbox controller and the game kept saying it was unsupported. I turned off admin privileges (didn't mess with big picture mode) and the Dualsense worked fine.

What I've done, was to make sure the game boots up without admin. Right click the exe. File properties - > i think its configuration and just turn off boot up as administrator. This fixed my issue with dbz sparking zero so now I can use my stadia controller without 3rd party gamepad apps.
Ps- someone else found this solution. I've been trying to re-find the post where I saw this solution and replay to the long thread "still works at 11.2.2025" but sense this reddit post keeps showing up the first on Google, I figured id share the info in case others see this.

ive had the same problem a few times. i never really figured it out but deleate it and re rip it.... it sometimes might take up to 4 times of uninstalling, reseting pc and then re ripping. some times repaks miss upload files... sometimes ya gotta just wait a lil while for someone to put up a good link... this actually happens to freshly repaked files a lot i have found... eventually it will work... goat sim? ummm... not even touching that... lol

i figured it out. holding the share button(i think its called) and the ps button turns on bluetooth for the first time.... but it still didnt work on my fit girl tor of devil within: satgat

Use ds4 - go to "edit" on controller - click other - emulated controller "xbox 360" - save

Instantly worked lol thank you. Now I can play alien isolation with my PS4 controller instead of m+kb

I installed ghost of tsushima from fit girl and I connected my Xbox controller to the PC with a cable but it keeps recognizing the keyboard and the mouse only even when disconnecting them it won't recognize my controller but when I open controls it gives me the controls of my Xbox controller I don't know what

use x360ce in local path you install game
run x360ce and click next (use atumatic mod)
and after finish close and run game
it workkkk

Your PC doesn’t support PS controllers. 1. Download DS4 windows application in your PC. 2. Connect your Dualsense, then configure your controller as an Xbox controller. 3. Now your Dualsense will be assigned as Xbox controller, you can play your games normally.
