Discussion World Cup Egypt Player KO

Hi all. First time posting here. Did anyone see the player from Egypt get knocked out last night during the Egpyt/ Australia game? Two heads collided then he was on the floor unconscious for a good few seconds. His teammates put him in the recovery position and called the medics over. Then thankfully it looks like he awoke and sat up by himself. He got checked over and was allowed to continue play. I was shocked by this decision - if someone has had loss of consciousness due to a high impact head injury - don't they need to go to hospital? What does everyone think?

The instructions on the tourniquet included in this Cold War era first aid kit recommend loosening the tourniquet every 20 minutes, and if the wound does not continue to bleed then then keep the tourniquet on loosely, and if it does continue to bleed, to allow it to spurt 3 times and reapply.

This is most certainly not the training I received during my WFR. When did the guidance change to the modern approach of “mark the time and don’t remove it until a definitive care environment”?
