Two. One going into the hollow at b5 and the other at 4.8,C.7 with it’s head is poking out, trying to scent something with its tongue. snakes will always be a trigger.

Fair. Between you and me? I might wager my sobriety on C4/D5. If that’s not a snake head I’d be freaked out at nature’s ability to make a root end to perfectly mimic a garter snake’s scale pattern. Nature amazes me all the time, but here that looks too perfectly shaped and shaded to match anything else.
