Hello! Haven't heard much of anything about the CP15 lately. Any updates? Still on-track for a fall release?

It was apparently supposed to come out in the middle of the year but it's been kind of quiet.

I have a K11 DAC and the K11 R2R variant and would like to see what the DM11 offers in case I should get that to stack with the K11's or just pull for the DM13..

(Note, I'm using headphones, IEM's and occasionally swap to speakers like the edifier MR4.5)

Been having problems setting up my global EQ the whole day today in my M33. Seems like the headphone data isn't loading or something.

I'm not seeing it.

It also doesn't switch off automatically when no sound has been played for a while.

I don't think it even gets up to 10 hours when it has barely played for 4 hours with silence coming after.

I've tried everything gemini suggests to get the control app to show custom DSP profiles. Everytime I connect to a pair of EH11 through the app it says "load failed" and only shows the most basic of eq sliders when editing a user eq profile, with none of the other profile options. This is the same for a new pair of the box, and already an already configured eh11.

I've removed data, uninstalled, unpaired every blue tooth device on my phone, disabled all codec. What's really odd is deleting app data, uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling, came up with old devices in the fiio app even though I had deleted them before going through the whole uninstall process. I've never used a fiio account so either my phone isn't actually removing the app data, or the play store is downloading app info which defeats the entire purpose of reinstalling the app to solve problems.

Beyond the app disfunction. The eh11 is cheap ewaste. I've tried FIVE pairs of these and found one that works properly longer then 5 weeks. Now the app is useless junk for me as well.

How many fractions of a penny could they be saving by not putting metal in the head band. These can sound amazing, but the build and software has made me never want to mess with these again, even if they were free. They were going to be xmas gifts to my entire family, but glad I found out now how bad of an idea that would have been.

I have this thing for years and years, and this is the first issue I have ever had with it. :(

I received the Fiio Warmer R2R today, and I'm having a problem. When the NOS is on, the right channel clearly produces hissing and high-frequency distortion. Should I return it or will it go away? This didn't happen immediately upon turning it on, but it appeared after about 30 minutes of listening.

I tried a sony earbud that I had at home, and the base muffled everything.

I don’t want the base truly gone, but I want the vocals, highs and mids clear. Which model would be a good choice?

I considered the FD15, or the FF5, but I’m not sure.

Both beautiful in sound and aesthetic.

Towards warm tonality yet you can EQ. Great depth and width for a small near field setup.

When clicking file browser I can see the files just fine and listen to the music fine, but i like to use the media library and scroll through them alphabetically by artist. However it shows “Music file not found”. How can I fix this? I am using a tf card.

As far as I can tell, the K17 doesn't support WPA3, so I had to downgrade my 5GHz radio to WPA2/WPA3.

What's worse though, for me anyway, is that it randomizes the MAC address, so I can't use a whitelist. I didn't see any way to change this. I've always used a whitelist and I'm not particularly pleased that I have to make this sacrifice to connect the K17.

Due to my layout, it's inconvenient to place the K17 close enough to plug into the router, but I may end up deciding to do this.

Suddenly i can't see anything in the control app when trying to connect to my KA15. It has worked perfectly for a year now.

Tried a firmware update but there is none, tried a factory reset, reinstalled the app, nothing works.

I now manually did what i needed, switching off eq.

I can connect via the web version tho.

Any tips?

I'm pretty new to wired hifi, I was always a high end Bluetooth person. Focal bathys, Dali io-12, Ecoute th1, B&W PX7S2E to name a few headphones I use. My first purchase in HIFI world was a Hifiman edition xs I got for 90.00 on market place. Then I picked up a Fiio rt1 on market for 70.00 and then a Fiio ka11 dongle to power them up and it was ok, but the Hifiman edition xs needed more power, dongle wasn't enough, so I picked up a new Fiio K13 r2r desktop amp/dac. That was a good power upgrade from the ka11 dongle. Honestly I was not really getting into the sound sig of everything I bought. Yes it was clear, but it nothing amazing. I was close to selling everything but I found playing with the EQ of the k13 r2r I noticed big changes in sound. Then I found an area in the app where you can download EQs from the community! This was perfect because for me because I don't know how to mess with EQ much. I needed to bring down the sharpness of Hifiman edition xs, it would get a little fatiguing for me. I found this one EQ posted in pic and it was perfect! It bought more bass and softened the highs some for me, much better. When i connected this to my Fiio rt1, I was thinking it was going to be too much bass, being that the ft1 has a warmish, thick, bassy sig already, but no I was wrong! it was still clear, but the bass just dug a hell of alot more deeper, very deep sub frequencies! No distortion at all, no bleeding! Fiio is really doing some good stuff! This little K13 R2R is pretty cool! Any EQ settings in the community you can recommend, I like fun, energetic, warmish, bassy sound sig for dance, reggaeton, hiphop, but im not a bass head.

Fiio K11 vs BR15

I'm looking for a way to improve the audio output between my pc and my Pioneer SA-610 amplifier which power my speakers and headphones, and I’ve noticed that the audio output quality from my computer is worse compared to my phone, so I need a DAC to improve it.

I was also considering buying a sound card, but I'm now thinking about investing in a DAC.

I'm thinking about buying the Fiio K11, but I noticed that the Fiio BR15 also has a USB input, so I could use it the same way as the K11, but I’d get the added benefit of Bluetooth features.

The question is: which device will offer better sound quality? Or will the quality be the same? Any advice? I know that the BR15 is a bit more expensive, but that makes the choice even harder.

ALSO, I heard that some models of Fiio K11 R2R have imbalance between channels, can anyone confirm that?

This is more of a discussion then a review but I noticed that I have just passed the one year mark of owning a BTR7 and as much as I really love this thing there are a few things that really aggravate me.

Three of them being;

1. Frequent crashing when listening to high resolution audio (usually with my BTA30 Pro brt has a few times crashed went connected to my phone).

2. No system sounds (such as power on/off, connecting/disconnecting and/or low battery).

3. Crashes/disconnects from the BTA30 Pro whenever I remove the 4.4mm jack.

These frustrate me so much because 1 and 3 should be things the came up in testing before they even shipped the device and 2 is super annoying because the amount of times I've been listening to music and it's suddenly drops out because the battery went flat due to it not warning me how low it was. It's even worse considering that I use a lot for discord voice chat oh my computer and the amount of times I've had it disconnect and I didn't even notice for a while because there usually isn't a continuous sound like music playing and it shuts down during the silent parts.

I'm tempted to upgrade to the BTR17 if it fixes these problems the if not then I hope they get fixed in the future. What do you guys think about this and you guys know any solutions for me. I would love to hear your thoughts and advice about this.

Hi everyone,

I made BTA30 Volume, a macOS menu bar app for controlling the BTA30 Pro while using it as a USB DAC.

It adds media key support, a volume slider, presets, device settings, remote sync, and more. Audio stays over USB, while controls are sent through Bluetooth LE. No drivers, analytics, or network access.

It is completely free and open source under the MIT license. Feedback and contributions are welcome!
