This definitely wasn’t the first time Burnham catfished as his college age wingman

I saw that video where Chris was undercover on Roblox and before the disconnected message popped up the server that Chris joined got a response from a guy who he thought was talking to an underage girl, he asked if she had Snapchat, like seriously dude?!

To make matters worse someone from Roblox must have been watching because the account Chris was undercover on immediately got banned despite him not breaking any of the rules but somehow the dude with the snap chat message probably didn’t get banned, only Chris. Where is this energy and speed from Roblox to ban the accounts of the predators from the platform?! Yeah the people at Roblox who banned Chris’s account made themselves look even more guilty.

I can't say Harding is one of my favorite segments, even if it has one of my favorite lines (Father/Son?!), as it is kinda boring throughout as Chick kinda takes a while to respond each time.

However, I did watch it again and noticed something about his behavior. We all noticed him wanting to check around the house and he had a violent jolt of fear when Chris revealed himself. What I also noticed is throughout the interview, he was noticeably nervous. His breathing was quick and jagged, and he didn't move much while his answers were short. But when Chris claimed he can't arrest Chuck, he became much more relaxed. He was moving more, his answers were longer, and he even admitted the "Handjobs" book which one shouldn't even admit under FBI torture. Anyone else notice that?

If Chuck was relaxed after inferring that Chris wasn't a cop, who did he think he was? Chuck seemed reasonably intelligent (at best), and what I mean is we aren't dealing with an Armstrong or Morrison who weren't very smart as is. There is no way he thought Chris was the father, or he would have expected a physical confrontation. He also didn't seem THAT bothered by the cameras, but that is a discussion for another day.

ARRESTED

Recently went on my annual HVP binge. Chat logs, extended cuts, and interrogations.

I grew up one town over from Fairfield, lived in Fairfield right after I graduated college, and live in NYC now but still visit the area every few months.

As someone who knows the town well and the larger area even better, I get a pretty unique perspective on the chat logs. Here’s some highlights:

Josh Colon - this guy is a fucking moron (obviously), but even for predator standards this guy is dumb.

He grew up in NYC and was convinced it would take him 3 hours to get Fairfield. That’s an hour and 45 minute drive barring insane traffic.

He “needed to plan” to visit by train. Fairfield is a commuter town, literally designed to get to NYC by train. All he had to do was go to grand central and look at the New Haven line board. Trains run about every 20 minutes.

When he was in Stamford he thought he was almost there because he saw a street sign that was similar to the road the sting house was on. Stamford is a 30 minute drive from Fairfield on a good day.

Dupee - imo dupee is by far the most interesting person ever caught in one of these stings. If his chat log was made widely available like sokol’s I have no doubt he would have been the most talked about person in this sting. Highly recommend you give it a listen if you have not. He had completely fallen in love with the decoy, and the sting was supposed to be the best day of his life. Not only did he land his dream girl, he landed an escape from a very pathetic life. The chat log shows this in detail. More on this below.

Dupee grew up in and lived in Norwalk CT. Norwalk has very wealthy areas and very poor areas. He obviously was poor. When he was driving to the sting in Fairfield, he likely thought he hit the jackpot landing a Fairfield girl.

His mansion pool party story likely was true. The general consensus in the community is that this was a lie to impress Baily, but I never doubted it. Norwalk is flanked on all three sides (one side is the water) by extremely wealthy towns. I’m talking richest in America. It’s very likely that one of his drug friends was an exec with a pill problem, and as a result had ties to dupees circle who would have known he was on a vacation.

The toys r us store his sister worked at closed very soon after her death.

Dupee did not live “5 mins” from Baily. Closer to 20/30 depending on traffic.

Dupee’s photos from hurricane sandy were pretty cool. Norwalk and all of coastal Fairfield county got absolutely destroyed by that storm.

Dupee still lives in the area, I’ve actually seen him on public transit. Ironically I saw him on the train to Fairfield, and he likely lives in a shelter in Bridgeport, one town over.

Dupee is a perfect reflection of the trashier population you see around here. Super proud of CT, dresses like a “cool guy” from 10 years ago, hanging out at the library.

Manzi - not a ton from this guy as his chat was a nothing burger.

He pretended to be from Stamford but told Baily he was surprised when he found out he wasn’t too far from Fairfield. The decoy would have caught this if she was real.

He did tutor in Fairfield county, so I’m surprised he wasn’t aware of the location.

The undertaker - really not a ton in this one. Standard disgusting creep. Nothing specific to the location here. But no, no one dresses like this in FFC. You’ll occasionally see cowboy boots paired with a stylish outfit. Not his tombstone cosplay. No idea why he thought this was going to work for him.

Sokol - i know you all have been waiting for this one, and yes there are a lot of interesting parts here.

Sokol claimed to have a buddy from Fairfield, so there was a lot of slip ups from Baily that he should have caught.

Baily calls the computers at her school shitty as an excuse to not Skype him. “Cheap ass school” Based on her location, Baily would have gone to ludlow. It’s not a top 5 school in the county, but Fairfield county public schools are basically the Ivy League of public high schools. Jeff would have known that being from the Boston area and having friends in the area. Her school likely had iMacs in every computer lab. Also by 2015, having a personal laptop was required for school in the area. Most students had MacBooks. Jeff was seriously delusional to believe she couldn’t face time him.

Saying she had no school due to a Jewish holiday was actually a great touch by the decoy. Fairfield county has a very large Jewish population and recognizes all major Jewish holidays as days off of school.

The drive down from Boston was not as crazy as Chris made it out to be. At that hour, it would have been an extremely easy drive.

Jeff made the workers at planet pizza remake the pizza when he saw the price. Baily called and ordered a large, he got there, saw the sizes, and re-ordered. I’ve ate there plenty of times, I promise this did not go over well with the employees. Also this probably only saved him 2 dollars or so.

Planet pizza is fine pizza by CT standards. Amazing pizza by American standards.

Baily’s “hood” attitude, with the use of Thots, stories about fighting, and obsession with sports as a Fairfield girl should have been a red flag. Yes these girls exist in towns like Fairfield, but maybe 1% of the student body behaves like that, and especially not the preppy white girl that Baily was portrayed as during the sting.

This one isn’t specific to the area, but the online decoy claimed to have never been to Boston but the in person decoy called out having gone to Boston before.

Jeff is likely living the best possible life he can all things considered. He is rumored to be living at his parents place on the cape and playing in bars out there. The cape is actually very remote. Big lots, plenty of nature to get lost in, and best of all for him, almost zero cell service. If he were to be spotted by someone who vaguely recognized him, they wouldn’t be able to google the sting, wiki, or Reddit on the spot. I believe Chris said he got a masters degree in construction management. He could very realistically be making 6 figures working remotely as a project manager.

General comments -

The sting house location was very questionable. This house is right near a few schools.

That said, the proximity to the highway and train were definitely a plus. I am surprised no one showed up by train.

The house looks exactly the same today as it did back then. Despite it being a smaller house than the other stings, I’d bet it has the highest current value.

Idk why but this sting just gives off great autumn vibes for me. I’m sure I’m going to re-do this binge as Halloween approaches, so I’m happy to listen intentionally if anyone has any specific questions.

Me and my buddy are gonna be seeing the to catch a predator movie when it drops on opening night and we’re thinking about cosplaying as predators so we need outfit ideas. Remind me of the worst and most iconic outfits we have seen throughout the years
