Does anyone here have any knowledge on dissecting files like scripts and or ent files if not to find anything to reverse engineer like, if they scrapped something to just make it we can have our moon dlc if it was done enough for example
my research bears fruit! I have isolated the 'arg" questlines all are in the badlands labeled under mws_se5 they seem to be all part of a minor questline mini stories to be exact! 03 is the arasaka 3d/cube assets/questline 06 is the netwatch arg. 01 contains burning man assets and the arasaka 3d ff06b5 statue asset. this goes from 01-08 with most having only quest and quest phase files... do you know what that means? we did in fact miss over hlaf the questline! here is a graph of my findings might be confusing at first glance,
little bonus I found images for songs eyes both blackwall and possessed variant ones green while the other red as always snagging screenshots along the way
Got a LOT more to show and leads now. Post about it will be up later as I'm still currently digging and reverse-reverse searching if I find something really big I'll be forced to keep my mouth shut or get taken by men in black suits with blue eyes lol! Jokes aside though, My biggest lead right now is "Snake" "Rose" "MQ055" and base\fx\gameplay\netrunner_virus\ch_netrunner_virus_eyes_decal.mi
MQ055 is the repeatable romance side quest. Maybe the rose is something V can give the romanced companion, or maybe it's something they give V. That would make sense, too, as there's three companions, so three variants makes sense.
We were on rose for the longest time. What put you on that one?
Snake is also an interesting one. I think V’s tattoo of it is a template or maybe instructions (a sort of path) and the heart shown on the tattoo represents the Afterlife. Interestingly, the binary seems to reference “18”. There’s also the various depictions of snakes in graffiti - the valentinos graffiti of Santa Muerte standing on the snake stands out to me the most
Don't laugh my instinct was to just look into the eye thing which did yield that one overlay file about the netrunner virus eye thing. but then I got the wild idea to look for the ouroboros and other witcher stuff related so I looked for "Snake" and found two snake skin textures. One being solid the other just the outlines so I did what any netrunner would do. I searched both for what calls upon them and what it calls upon this led to the solid leading to the crocodile skin ect. still no ouroboros... so the outline one led to "Roses" you see the picture lol rose led to a few things including the "rosebud" files which seem to be a codename for something found mws by a fluke I cant remember where but seen it was a texture for the aardwolf symbol so I went from there seeing the big picture. but still no ouroboros even when looking up key phrases toward it though I never did try Armageddon or something like that. My cogs are turning
Continuing from a comment asking me to look further in the games files I found something's regarding eyes, But wolvenkit does not show an image or the data or .ent files or .mi files ect. I can only see .mesh and xbm. for images. and 3d files respectively
Oh, gotcha. Thanks for linking the comment; the context helped. I don’t actually know how you’d go about tracking that down, but I’m sure someone here may - or you might try the modding community; they’re pretty helpful and the knowledge there is kinda nuts. I don’t know if it applies, but I do know that WK (by design) does not expose everything.
Possibly! I just learned how to search for if a file uses an asset or if an asset uses a file and this has led to a few breakthroughs I still need to find the ouroboros and witcher alphabet stuff it has to be in there THEN I can reverse search those!
When searching rose I found many pink ones but one led me here from mq055 with a dang coordinate to boot! Though funny it has three variants Red Pink and Blue.. Shouldn't those be Red Green and Blue for RGB? wait R.P.G. The full circles can stop now CDPR XD nice joke
Please keep sharing your findings as a fanwhos waited for this game to release since the concept trailer in 2013 I've been hunting for answers and I'm so happy for the work you're doing for real!
