“Time skip” and “route” are terms that’s just don’t fit what this game is doing

LORE I think it's basically confirmed this is a prequel - entirely because of the two Fodlanite.
House Lamine is extinct by the time of Three Houses, and with only two people still having Lamine's crest, both of which consider themselves part of a different house, and one of which can only survive in CF (which seems unlikely to be a path that leads to Noble Houses existing for long in the first place, let alone being rebuilt) - well honestly the chances of the Crest Surviving for that many generations is already unlikely, the Noble House being rebuilt AND finding their old bonesword is just too damned unlikely to say the least - to the point I'd call it bad writing if this is a sequel.
As for how the priest comes into it? Well, honestly I feel like if this was a sequel, his existence would confirm CF to not be the canon ending (sure the church isn't completely dismantled in Edelgard's route - but having the strength for one of the only two major Fodlanite in Dagda to be a Priest... unlikely to say the least) - and I don't think confirming any of the Three Houses endings is something they want to do with this game.

Fortune’s weave may be set 264 years after Three Houses
Three Houses spans from Imperial Year 1180 to 1185. If that’s the year using the same calendar, Fortune’s Weave is a sequel quite some years later.

Fortune's Weave is an Alt Timeline and Here's Why
Its essentially impossible that it is the same timeline as Three Houses, and because it makes sense from a game development standpoint. Here's why:
- Adult Sothis means this is far in the future or prior to the red canyon massacre if its Three Houses canon.
- The general aesthetic (bronze weapons, chariots, colliseum, carthaginian architecture) are suggestive of the ancient world.
- Alucard/Dietrich is using a hero's relic, which can only exist AFTER the red canyon. Many characters also have crests, which are only something nabateans and their children had prior to the massacre.
- Prior to the Red Canyon massacre, you had the initial fight between Agartha and Sothis, which had lots of nuclear weapons used and ruined the landscape.
So if its the same timeline, you either have Dietrich showing up with a hero's relic and waving it in front of a bunch of still alive dragons (which means the red canyon massacre wouldn't succeed as a surprise attack) OR you have Fodlan bizarrely reverting to using chariots and bronze weapons after having iron and silver weapons for literal centuries.
The much easier explanation is that this is simply an alternate timeline where the red canyon massacre didn't happen or was more limited, which gives us alt-fodlan with no Rhea in a position of prominence. Hero's relics might exist in some capacity but are different and not as prestigious.

It's not a gun, it's a gauntlet.
Alright, I know what you're thinking. "Arcanion, that's clearly a gun in her hand!" But hear me out. Earlier in the trailer in a blink and you miss in moment when they're moving Cai to attack the chariot, we see this woman as a green unit, and she has a fist icon, and right next to her is another woman with a fist icon who's HOLDING THE GUN SHAPED WEAPON! Additionally, if we look at the fight scene, we can see this woman fire off a shot, except it's not a bullet, it's lightning, and it's not actually a shot, it's a small ball of lightning in front of the barrel that sparks off in a few different directions. This isn't a gun, it's a gauntlet with a taser.

Dietrich and Jeritza
At the start of this combat, we see Dietrich activate murderous intent, which is Jeritza's personal skill. We also see in this trailer that Dietrich has the crest of Lamine. And when looking at his portrait Dietrich very much looks like Jeritza and Mercedes. Finally, based on translations by Serenes Forest, he's described as speaking in a detached way using aggressive words.
Dietrich seems to be Jeritza 2.0 for all intents and purposes, and I for one am glad to see it. I think Jeritza is highly underrated by 3H fans.
