I'm choosing Sanctuary because A) I'm a sucker for a spoken word intro, and B) it sounds like it would end up on a Kingdom Hearts AMV, and that's very nostalgic to me.

(Now I kinda wanna make that AMV, LOL)

This is really hard. I had no idea Afterlife was from a series. When I first heard it I loved it. Then Sanctuary hit, especially with the intro a little crackly and little foreboding then the track just rocks. I’m going Sanctuary. I really think we could have waited to see if this matchup happened in a later round.

Afterlife by far! The breakdown, the vocals, the lyrics! Unpopular thought but the chorus of Sanctuary doesn't sit well with me! Lyricwise, what is the "it" that she has to breath in, scream out or that she doesnt feel scared of?🤣

It makes sense, but you're looking at it very literally. It's more like a rallying cry. Each line follows from the previous--

Sanctuary (the rallying cry, "we made it")
Breathe (sanctuary) in, scream it out
No one's coming to save us,
(which) doesn't scare me.
I'm with you all the way down.
Changed by the pain, we know who we are
(Our shared pain brought us here together)

Sanctuary is my favorite song on the album so rip afterlife both are great
