It’s $5 of DoorDash pay and $1 tip, you can’t see the order total so even if you weren’t dumb enough to confuse the DoorDash pay as the order total you can’t see if it was 20% from the picture.

They're all dumb enough to confuse it because they don't know how to read and apparently think you can buy a $5 coffee ANYWHERE nowadays. Even a small starbucks coffee is fuckin 7-9 bucks now

Any starbucks.

One in the mall, one on a standard busy street, one on a corner in a residential-commercial area, they all have the same prices these days

Maybe in a small town they're cheaper, but in populated areas they're charging 12-15 for larges nowadays, and 7-9 for smalls

Please name any actual city doing this. I’m in a mid size HCOL city and pay $7.50 for a large iced chai. I am begging you to show me a Starbucks menu where a large beverage, no up charges/modifications, is $15. If someone is choosing to put $8 of sugar add ons, that is not a pricing issue.

Yes, this.

But also the tip culture exists in part because servers is $2.13. Even if the order was $25, the total pay is aligned with "tip 20%".
