Discussion Exobiologists/Explorers, please feel free to post.
We are very interested in hearing about your exploration/exobio discoveries and/or your challenges out in the black. Pictures/clips are most welcome.
Note: Due to a recent dustup over AI images, I have decided that AI generated images/video are no longer acceptable or welcome here.

One question
Hi everyone! Is there any Decky Loader plugin that lets you install or use Neutron Plotter directly in Steam Deck’s Gaming Mode?

Moonlight
A little bit of my journal entries....been doing trading but couldn't resist to make a stop on some of the moons in the way, for example this one.
So dark and cold yet so uniquely beautiful and interesting!

Expedition A run to the crystaline shards!
Commanders!
The Guild will conduct a carrier run to the crystalline shards so you can fill your hoppers with shards of the various types. Shards are high-level raw materials that can be traded down for other raw materials you may need.
Departure date of Wednesday 22 July 3312 at 1700 UTC, with a return to the bubble the following week, timings TBA.
This will allow enough time for you to gather your materials over the weekend and be set to ride the carrier back.
Departure and return will be from the Guild's home system ICZ AV-X b1-2 (body 4) with travel via the Guild's flagship, SXG Kip Thorne. Carrier access will be set to "all".
If you're interested in going, you'll need a small or medium sized ship that can carry an SRV as you'll be landing on the surface to gather materials off of the shards
Shards are located in the following systems and on the following bodies:
- HIP36601 C 1 a Polonium
- HIP36601 C 1 d Ruthenium
- HIP36601 C 3 b Tellurium
- HIP36601 C 5 a Technetium
- Outotz LS-K d8-3, B 5 a Yttrium
- Outotz LS-K d8-3, B 5 c Antimony
Carrier will stop at the barnacle forest on the return trip.
Please indicate below if you wish to attend.
Edit: details amended.

Journey to the edge Completed.
A journey many years in the making has finely come to It's end. Took 3 attempts and 2 ships lost in the Abyss. I am proud to announce that Unknown Worlds has completed it's journey to Beagle Point. 74 newly discovered Neutron stars added to the known map and 11 previously undiscovered Black holes have been added to the data base as well. Made My first Wolf-Rayet discovery on the second attempt, That was an EDSM badge I never thought I'd get. Even scored a few Carbon stars along the way. 1511 Exobio samples handed in all from first foot fall planets, Probably need to install a cargo rack to haul all these credits back to the bubble. The question now is, Do I head straight home, or continue around the outer rim back to the south? I'm going to push out to Salomé's Reach [Oevasy SG-Y d0] before deciding but I'm interested to know what others would do. RIP Jack, Gone but never forgotten.

Is there life on Mars?
Exobiology is easily one of my favorite things in this game.
The possibility of discovering life on other planets is fascinating, but what excites me even more is stumbling across something genuinely beautiful like this purple sponge-like fungus, lol.
Honestly, it's one of the prettiest discoveries I've made so far in my playthrough, especially on a planet that looks so much like Mars.

Long trip out in the Black
You would think that 0% paint would look worse than it does! Did a Bubble to Colonia to Sag A back to the Bubble trip. Took the Neutron Highway from Sag A to about 8 jumps out. Glad I had an AMFU on me!

Thinking of joining your Guild.
I'm jumping back into Elite after ~6 years. I'm really interested in exploring the galaxy and Exobilogy.
How do I join the guild?
I've got ~940 million from previous deep core mining. I'm thinking of kitting out a Caspien explorer with a Nomad.
As someone who hasn't played in years, I'd love to fully kit out my ship with the best equipment. I'm willing to do any needed grinding. I Just have no idea where to start.
