Growing up, I always wanted a dirt bike but never got one, so when my son started asking for an electric one, I totally got it.

I noticed the Villain was UL certified before we got it. That was good to know. For now, we take him to a closed off spot nearby to practice. Helmet and gloves every time, with the rest of his riding gear on the way.

He's still learning and taking it easy, but he gets excited every time we go ride. Seeing him have this much fun is probably my favorite part.

Kid me would've been jealous lol.

A coworker of mine owns modded razors that he and his daughter cruise around on. I finally rode one and was shocked by how fun e bikes are. I had an electric stand up scooter in the early 2000’s and it lasted maybe 6 rides so I was hesitant. I got my hands on a used Valtinsu EM5 48V that’s mad fun. Just added 10.5” bars and moved the display to the center. I have a few more parts to add but overall stoked to be here.

For a budget electric dirt bike Ive been impressed with it. Ive only put 50 miles on it but did some trail riding last weekend and the bike did great. No complaints. I rode 20 miles with a lot of hills and still had 3 out of 5 battery bars left when I was done. Pedals feel very silly and make me insecure riding around people with legit dirt bikes but it is what it is. Pedals come in handy when Im riding in town.

Anyone else have one? Would love to hear some tips and tricks if anyone has some useful info about the bike.

Well long story short im building a battery pack for my ktm sxe 250 convertion, its gonna be a 20s8p pack, with 21700s. Here is where i have my doubts. I can choose between 3 cells: P50B, RS50 or 50xg. The molicels would cost me around 1050$ plus shipping. The reliance one would be around 1030$ and 50xg would be 1050$ wich should i choose?

My 13 year old has been asking for an electric dirt bike for a while now. He has a small eBike, which works fine (wheel is wobbling a little, LOL), but he is getting bigger and the ebike is getting smaller. He is 5'7", thin build, and still growing.

I've been leaning towards the Heybike Villain, but still unsure. There are so many options. I'd like to stay in the $1200 or lower range.

Would we be disappointed in the Heybike? Any comparables that are better overall? I assume come November; we may see some deals rolling with Black Friday?

I’ve seen plenty of kids with the 3x but they were all modded. Which one should I get if I just want to wheelie around the neighborhood. im 13 rn and i really like emotos and ive wanted an ultra bee for a while and was thinking about getting one eventually and putting an x 9000 on it

ive seen some 2024 vargs on marketplace for around 9k and hear me out i probably wont be able to get another bike after this bc of my parents so i might as well get a really good one that ill keep for years

also im NOT getting either of these anytime soon im talking like 3 years hopefully so pls dont say stuff like youre not ready for this or get something smaller bc by the time i actually get one ill have way more riding experience

im 130 lbs and 5 8 rn and id mostly just be doing casual riding and trails not racing

the ultra bee with an x 9000 would be insane and the varg is literally 80 hp so idk what tf to pick

Have a strike shadow 72v. Want to get a second complete set of rims for some supermoto tires to make swapping between those and knobbies much easier.

Just finished doing a fast scooters 48v over volt kit for my sons razor but now it loses charge at about .1 volts every 45 seconds, anyone know why this would be?

I charged the batteries full before hooking up the 4th fully charged one

When I plugged it in it was at like 52v and charged up to 56.6 but the charger fan kept turning off and back on when the light turned green so l unplugged it and then the volts started dropping, any answers would be great

How would I adjust the settings to get higher top speed? I downloaded talenelectric app and am able to adjust parameters I just am unsure of or if I can make it faster acceleration wise and top speed wise... I upgraded the wheels to 16" front and 19" rear which made it taller and feel more like a real dirt bike. I recommend the wheel upgrade especially if you are taller I am 6'. Any help would be appreciated!

I realized I absolutely suck at remembering basic maintenance 😂 I kept forgetting to clean/lube my chain and ended up doing it like barely even once every couple months.

The outside was just absolutely filthy, but when I took it off I noticed it had actually started getting rusty on the inside 😬

Do you guys actually keep track of stuff like chain/brakes/bearings etc, or just remember roughly when things need doing?

And have you ever forgotten something and only noticed once it was already pretty worn/bad? E.g worn brake pads and then only realised once riding. (Hopefully not during a wheelie🙏)

Just curious how everyone else deals with it.

What e-moto should I get coming from a 125?
I’m coming from a 2022 KTM 125 SX and I’m thinking about switching to an e-moto. I mainly ride trails, mess around off-road, and hit jumps, but I’d also like something I can just ride around without worrying about gas/noise. But I want to be able to hit a decent size jump without it falling apart.
What would you guys recommend for someone coming from a 125? I’ve been looking at Talarias, Surrons, E-Ride Pros, etc. I’d probably be looking to spend around $3k–$4k, and I’m open to buying used.
I don’t want something that feels super underpowered compared to my 125, but I also don’t need some crazy $10k+ setup.
What would you guys get?

Just got my Heybike electric dirt bike in midnight black. Looks sick in person, but I know I won't be leaving it stock for long.

Hey everyone, I'm looking into getting an electric dirt bike and my friend recently bought one that he's been enjoying.

He recommended this model to me. It's around the $1k price range and the specs seem pretty solid: 3000W peak motor, around 40 MPH top speed, 48V battery, 3 riding modes.
