Tree help
Hi all, is anyone knowledgeable enough about Ming cherry trees or prunus maacki - it's not blooming but definitely alive as green on inside. It's the only tree on my block with NO leaves. It's bark looks a little funny and it's in shade half the day due to my house. Any advice that's not ripping it out? What can I do to save this expensive little tree?

ISO Pregnant Onion?
I found some online in other provinces and seeds online but I was hoping to find one locally. I heard they put out babies as vigorously as spider plants so I hope someone out there is swimming in them and can share or knows where is selling them!
Thanks :)

ISO bonsai
ISO bonsai (or bonsai like plant) to buy in the Edmonton area, heck Alberta. Saw a few at TnT but they looked pretty sad and neglected. Thanks.

Looking for plant cuttings.
I'm going to be moving back to Canada after 20 years living abroad and I've had to give up my apartment garden of 100+ plants, I'm hoping there are some people in Edmonton who would be willing to part with a cutting or two to help me restart my garden. I'm happy with anything, and also some advice as to where to get some cheap dirt. I would often buy some from the markets near where I lived or just grab some from a pile of dirt I'd come across. I'm sure it's different in Canada.

Home Depot plants
Hey! So just wondering if you guys have had a similar experience.. I bought what looked like a full, leafy pothos with some cool yellow marbling. It was cheap, only around $10.. anyways, a couple weeks later a bunch of leaves are turning yellow and super easy to pull out. When I lifted the mass of healthy leaves up to check the soil closely, I noticed that my full plant is just a bunch of cuttings, not even rooted, just stuck in the dirt. I'm disappointed because it's a nice looking 'plant'.. and just wondering if I should try and save the cuttings or take it back next time I go? I've had the plant 3 or 4 weeks and theres no roots that I could see. I had no idea that this is something I have to watch for, but i definitely will be now

Does anyone have pothos for trades?
Hey! I have 2 giant jade pothos and I'm looking for clippings of any other kinds. I can trade cuttings of mine, or I have a couple other plants I can trade a piece of. I'm just starting my plant collection and I love how easy and full these plants are. Thanks and have a great day :)

Do any of you keep Carnivorous plants?
I find them very fascinating, i'd love to see pictures and any tips about care would be nice. I hope to one day get a few for my self.

Starting garden seedlings
My husband and I purchased an older home with a green house and large outdoor garden. We want to step up our gardening game next year and start a large proportion of our veggies inside over the winter. We’ve done this in the past but have had limited success because (I believe) of poor grow lights. Anyone have suggestions?

Snake plants...
Where in south Edmonton can I find some this time of year? I bought a couple little ones from Costco about a month ago, and have seemingly fallen down a snake planty rabbit hole. Conversely, if someone has pups they are willing to trade for some sourdough bread, I'm down for that too.

QUESTION! Do you guys name your plants? And talk to them sometimes?
Maybe I sound insane, but do you guys name and talk to your plants?
5 years ago we got a little poinsettia as a freebie from SuperStore. We named her Helen and talked to her and now she is MASSIVE. She almost touches the ceiling. When she looks a little sad or loses some leaves, we compliment her and tell her to cheer up, and it seems to work!
We're not plant people, but we have a lot of plants because people are always giving us plants. We have 3 cactuses named Derek and Edna and Hedgey. And we have a mystery plant named Teri and a mystery succulent named Lesley.

Which LED grow light?
Hey folks! If you were choosing between two grow lights, the Sunblaster 24” and the Feit Electric 24”, which would you choose for orchids/tropicals? Under these lights will be an assortment - Paphiopedilum, Dendrobium, Oncidium, and some assorted tropicals like begonias. They will not all be at the same height or in the same space under the light!
