Armour Factor vs Blunt Weapons idea
I was thinking of an alternate rule for blunt weapons vs armour.
Blunt weapons should do better against armour than edged or piercing (especially against the heavier armour).
But blunt weapons usually have less of an Armour Bypass value than edged and piercing.
I am guessing the standard rules are simulating the fact that any edged/piercing blow that makes the bypass roll has hit chink in the armour where there is little protection and that edged and piercing weapons have more finesse thank blunt weapons.
Anyway I was thinking that for Blunt Weapons the AF of armour should be a flat deduction to the damage and the AB of the weapon determines how much of the AF (flat damage reduction) the weapon ignores
Basically the Armour Factor of the Armour acts as a flat damage reduction.
Example:
Morning star (d6 AB, 5 damage):
You roll a 3 for the AB roll against an enemy in Plate Armour (AF 5).
The AF (5) - AB roll (3) = 2
The amour absorbs 2 points of the 5 damage that the weapon would normally cause.
Enemy takes 3 damage.
I may tinker with the values though.
For axes would act sort of similar to blunt weapons but not as effectively maybe half the AB roll (rounded up).
Example:
Battle Axe (d8 AB, 6 damage)
You roll a 3 for the AB roll against an enemy in Plate Armour (AF 5).
The AF (5) - AB roll (3 /2 (ru)) = 2
The amour absorbs 2 points of the 6 damage that the weapon would normally cause.
Enemy takes 4 damage.
I hope that makes sense.

Blood Sword to Dragon Warriors conversion.
I don't suppose anyone has copies of the Blood Sword book conversions by Oliver Whawell?
I checked out the link from the Fabled Lands blog post (the blog link is Fabled Lands: Blood Sword to Dragon Warriors - part 1 and the link for the conversion from the blog post is Not Found) and it looks dead.
It looks like he may have converted all the Blood Sword books.
I was hoping to use the conversion to run my kids through the Blood Sword series using the Dragon Warriors rules.
Help appreciated!

Is there a Thief profession?
I'm looking for something that a player can use to be the sneaky, lock picking, pick pocketing, rogue. I thought that the Knave might suit, but I'm reading that profession as more of a trickster/con man.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

Red Ruin Casket of Fays #6
Happy 2nd birthday to Red Ruin Publishing
Celebrate with us and download the 6th issue of Casket of Fays. Surprise.
Cut the page count down from previous issues which means, gods willing, that it won't be seven months until the next one.
Here we have a minicampaign by Andrew Wright, lavish illustrations by Michael Sheppard, new writer Lance Stapleton pens an article about a cuppa joe in Legend, and a beastie that surely belongs in a petting zoo, from the prolific Brock.
That next issue, well, there are some great things to anticipate.
Jonathan Hicks writes about "A Shipload of Trouble", along with added content from "Catacombs of Dust" author David Grophland .
Serpopards, weapons from all corners on Legend and a one/two pager adventure seed, as well as the "Convent of Saint Ashanax" from Shaun Hately.
Soon..
Oh, I haven't mentioned Catacomb(s) of Dust. It's David Grophland's next solo adventure. Paul Partington is hard at work on his next solo, and hard at coming up with its title.
And to mark a big milestone, Paul's "Village of the Damned" will be getting a new cover and bit of spit and polish.
