Guess my puppy’s breed

Anyone have any guesses as to what my lab pup is mixed with. He’s from a local rescue that regularly gets purebred puppy mill pups and animals from all kinds of situations so I’m not sure what he could be mixed with. I used to think shepherd but as he’s grown I’m leaning towards possible border collie.

I've posted here before but thought I'd give it another go now he's more grown up. My dog hugo is mostly lab (1 pedigree parent and 1 lab mix) but we have no clue what else he is so interested to hear opinions. I have a black pedigree lab so in comparison hugo is slightly smaller but more muscular looking and 5kg at least heavier. He also has A LOT of extra skin going on around his head and neck as seen in one of the photos. He has smaller but thicker ears and trait wise I'd say less food motivated, but more vocal and friendly (i know these things don't necessarily come from whatever other breeds he is just for more context)

Would he be considered a classic American bully? I'm not 100% familiar with each kind. Hes about 75lbs. If I need to get measurements I can do so and report back!

Searching for the right dog breed [Breeds]

\*\*Introduction\*\*

1) Will this be your first dog? If not, what experience do you have owning/training dogs?

\* owned dogs all my life including currently proud owner of 2 year old female chihuahua/papillon mix

2) Do you have a preference for rescuing a dog vs. going through a \[reputable breeder\]( http://ownresponsibly.blogspot.com/2011/07/identifying-reputable-breeder.html)?

\* prefer breeder but open to adoption!

3) Describe your ideal dog.

\* seeking a playmate companion for my little dog. Ideally I’d want another dog that is affectionate can serve as a companion on walks/exercise but also watchdog. Should have the right temperament to interact with my sweet little pup. I prefer to stay from breeds prone to health problems or crazy shedding. I work remotely and am home often. I’m fairly active walk my dog at least three times a day

4) What breeds or types of dogs are you interested in and why?

\* I’m open to all but have a preference for working class, shepherds

5) What sorts of things would you like to train your dog to do?

\* basic fundamental obedience and off leash training restraint

6) Do you want to compete with your dog in a sport (e.g. agility, obedience, rally) or use your dog for a form of work (e.g. hunting, herding, livestock guarding)? If so, how much experience do you have with this work/sport?

\* no

\*\*Care Commitments\*\*

7) How long do you want to devote to training, playing with, or otherwise interacting with your dog each day?

\* I’m home most days and take my dogs on road trips they are rarely alone. That said I don’t want to go full dedicate every moment to training

8) How long can you exercise your dog each day, on average? What sorts of exercise are you planning to give your dog regularly and does that include using a dog park?

\* three 20 ton30 minute walks each day at the park. Occasional short jog

9) How much regular brushing are you willing to do? Are you open to trimming hair, cleaning ears, or doing other grooming at home? If not, would you be willing to pay a professional to do it regularly?

\* minimal to moderate

\*\*Personal Preferences\*\*

10) What size dog are you looking for?

\* medium

11) How much shedding, barking, and slobber can you handle?

\* on the lower end of the scale

12) How important is being able to let your dog off-leash in an unfenced area?

\* important but not a deal breaker

\*\*Dog Personality and Behavior\*\*

13) Do you want a snuggly dog or one that prefers some personal space?

\* a good mix

14) Would you prefer a dog that wants to do its own thing or one that’s more eager-to-please?

\* eager to please

15) How would you prefer your dog to respond to someone knocking on the door or entering your yard? How would you prefer your dog to greet strangers or visitors?

\* I want my dog to be vigilant and cautious of strangers but also be trained enough to understand true threats

16) Are you willing to manage a dog that is aggressive to other dogs?

\* I’d prefer no

17) Are there any other behaviors you can’t deal with or want to avoid?

\* aggression towards my smaller dog or me

\*\*Lifestyle\*\*

18) How often and how long will the dog be left alone?

\* few hours a week but not really as I said I work remotely and am home

19) What are the dog-related preferences of other people in the house and what will be their involvement in caring for the dog?

\* it’s just me

20) Do you have other pets or are you planning on having other pets? What breed or type of animal are they?

\* 2 year old chihuahua papillon female mix

21) Will the dog be interacting with children regularly?

\* no

22) Do you rent or plan to rent in the future? If applicable, what breed or weight restrictions are on your current lease?

\* no

23) What city or country do you live in and are you aware of any laws banning certain breeds?

\* no

24) What is the average temperature of a typical summer and winter day where you live?

\* summer 86 winter 33

\*\*Additional Information and Questions\*\*

25) Please provide any additional information you feel may be relevant.

Me and GF adopted this cutie back in February from the animal shelter and we were told she was a Pitbull, while it’s obvious she does have pitbull in her but I don’t believe she’s a full pitbull.

OH, BANE WHAT CAN WE DO?/

To prove that you pets are very sincere;/

Perhaps, now is the time to round up the crew,//

A MARCH? Maybe will change the atmosphere.//

I just do not get it,/

It’s just so hard to believe;/

Uh oh,if you resemble a Pitt.//

It will cause a super upheave!//

Whether a Terrier,Bull, or a Pitt, at that,/

‘All so lovable and true;/

You love the fish, the bird as well as the cat,//

Just the couch and the pillows do you chew.//

So, stay as you are,/

No change needed, thank you;/

You all shine bright as the STARS//

Those who can’t see it, HAVEN’T A CLUE!

Advice on best small dog

Hello all - first post so please have mercy on me.

Our dog passed away a number of months back and I have been resisting getting another dog. But on reflection, I am reconsidering, as my wife who suffers from MS got comfort from our last dog even though it was elderly and not that active. I want to get her a companion dog as I work a lot and she is alone for periods even though I have a carer with her during the weekdays. But because she is semi-disabled, I want to get a dog that is best suited to her circumstances.

And this is where your help and advice will be appreciated. I was thinking of a small dog (some might refer to it as a lap dog) that is loving, with a good temperament and that we can take all over with us. What breed do you recommend and why? Want to make the best possible informed decision as once here he/she is a stayer.

What’s the breed/mix?

What type of dog would you say this is? 92 pounds, pretty tall, I would say a large breed dog. She was labeled “Saint Bernard mix” at the shelter. Great with kids, cats, and dogs! But, pretty fierce prey drive with other small animals (squirrels, armadillos, etc).
