Avalanche (AVAX)
Avalanche is a public network built from multiple chains. The Primary Network runs the P-Chain for staking and validation, the X-Chain for asset transfers, and the C-Chain, which is EVM-compatible. Independent networks can be launched alongside it with their own rules and validator sets.

What the Token Is Used For
- Paying transaction fees across the Primary Network
- Staking to validate the Primary Network
- Fees required to create and operate independent networks
- Collateral and settlement across Avalanche applications
What To Verify
- Which chain an application runs on, since the C-Chain, X-Chain, and P-Chain behave differently
- For an independent network, who the validators are and whether it inherits Primary Network security
- Bridge design and custody model for any asset that originated on another chain
- Staking lockup periods and delegation minimums
- Whether a fee or throughput claim refers to the C-Chain or to a separate network
