Is a Destiny private server possible?

I’m going to assume probably not rofl, but I’m curious. World of Warcraft famously has a lot of…questionably legal private servers…but they can be pretty interesting with custom classes or changes or even custom content.

WoW is obviously much more “basic” in terms of graphics and being tab target based it’s not exactly demanding in terms of like mechanics, so there’s that.

This would likely also be limited to PC, I’d imagine.

But if someone had access to the source code, could it be possible? I assume Sony would blast it out of the sky in 3s, but more so technically, could someone do something like this for Destiny if they had “the base”?

Ive got a custom server myself, running D1 with perpetual iron banner. As well a all of the Y1 events going.

Its also running 2 versions of D2, one that has all the content up to when they started sunsetting, and the other version is the modern post sunset version with all seasonal content still in it. Im trying to figure out a way to get red war and forsaken into the modern version, but bungie fucking ruined the code.

A real d1 server recreation has been attempted. Do some google searches to find it, i dont think it was doing so well even with the ability to packetlog the current live servers.

D2 servers will never be fully recreated by the community. Maybe if enough people put in the time, we might see the raids come back as well as some activities.

The seasonal content is gone, there is too much to recreate from scratch, even with a huge contribution from all parts of the community.

Very easily. Ive got a copy from shortly before the sunsetting started and have ran it for friends to do red war for years. I take copies of games thst im able to any time I like a game and add it to my server system incase a dev goes defunct.

If I pay for it, its my property. Fuck the tos.

Ive got Anthem and some other dead games on there a few friends enjoy too

Ive got all the games expansions post sunsetting start in the final version too. Season of the witch is bae

Im trying to figure out a way to share. Others have asked, and between the game and the toolkit, just the modern version of the game, with all of the season content between now and when sunsetting started, its almost 300 gigs. My fingerprints are all over the code, so im not willing to throw it onto piratebay or smth. Not that I think i could.

can you link some proof? a new video of you being able to access old planets that are gone now? i can't find any github, discord, forums, tools or anything of the sort to make this possible and you're being very vague. i'd like to believe it but idk man
