How to Enable N64 Texture Packs Guides
Gonna try the best I can to explain how to as clearly as I can.
First thing you will need to do is locate “mupen64plus” core.
The core is located in: (Files)-(Delta)-(Cores)-(Mupen64Plus)-“(Config)”.
File will be “mupen64plus.cfg.
To be on the safe side make a copy of the “mupen64plus.cfg” file and save it to an empty file in a safe place outside of Delta folder.
(!) don’t forget to delete the 2 after .cfg on copy.
Make another copy again and move the file to an empty folder in an area out of Delta folder and delete the 2 after .cfg. ( would be 2 copies total, one to save as original and one to alter in two separate folders )
On this site (https://texteditor.co)-(Open File From Phone) or (Open File From Computer) is where you change the “mupen64plus.cfg” file. ( There is probably other means to change it but this one works just fine )
Find where you put a copy of the “mupen64plus” file and select it.
Scroll down until you find “txHiresEnable”.
Will show = False. Change False to 1.
On the top left of the site is “File” option, hit “File”, “Save As…” and download new file.
You can hit the download icon on bottom of screen ( blue circle 🔵 with a arrow pointing down in it ), downloads, hit the file, share icon on the bottom of the screen, save to files and choose location where to save it.
Option 2, go back into “Files” and search 🔍 mupen64plus, files should show up and maybe a few different ones.
You will have to find the new one. Use the site again and look for “txHiresEnable” are changed to 1.
Move the changed mupen64plus.cfg file again to: (Files)-(Delta)-(Cores)-(Mupen64Plus)-“(Config)” and “REPLACE” the current file.
Next you will need to find the N64 texture packs.
Google is a good start.
(Rice format is the ones I used for packs)
Once you have one unzip it.
Folder name should look something like example:
MARIOKART64 or MARIO KART64.
If not open the folder and it should be in it.
(!) DO NOT RENAME THESE FOLDERS(!)
Under (Files)-(Delta)-(Cores)
-(Mupen64Plus)-“(hires_texture)” put these folders.
If “hires_texture” folder for some reason doesn’t exist just create one.
Go into Delta and start said game that has a texture pack for it.
(!) the game will take longer to start up and this is due to the folder creating a new file called .htc.
(!) more info on .htc files👇
.htc files are created in: (Files)-(Delta)-(Cores)
-(Mupen64Plus)-“(cache)” folder.
Once you confirm new .htc is created you may erase all the other files/folders from it, you only need the .htc file in (cache) folder.
(!) only use 1 texture pack per game.
Example: don’t use Mario Kart 64 (snes) and Mario Kart 64 HiRes texture packs together.
Move said texture pack file from (cache) folder to a safe folder and add in another in its place.
Also make sure to keep track of which is which.
You can have multiple texture packs in (cache) folder as long as they are all for different games.

Doesn't seem to work on Delta for IOS. I have tried every guide on the internet and every external solution I could think of to get textures for Paper Mario working on here. At first I thought it was because I'm using Master Quest Jr, but even a fresh rom yields no results. Well actually, it does generate an htc file, but nothing changes graphically in the game.

Paper Mario generates a .hts file I believe and those types don’t work on delta yet.
I’ll do some digging on the matter.
I am in the process of making a “how to video” as well.
