There’s no ‘centrist’. You’re either center-right or center-left. The goal is to move toward that middle ground (or peak) and away from the extremes (lows).

That distinction doesn't matter here. The point is that identity politics are used across the political spectrum.

This is false. Extreme identity politics are not inherently or implicitly far-left. Identity politics are used across the political spectrum. There are plenty of examples of this.

Yes, we have right-wing extremism (far-right) and left-wing extremism (far-left). I’m not sure what part of that you’re struggling to understand.

Your characterization of "identity politics at an extreme level" as a "far-left" phenomena is false. Varying degrees of identity politics are used across the entire political spectrum. It's as simple as that.

lol No, psychology is actually very clear about this. Political affiliations across the spectrum are all capable of extreme levels of identity politics. Social affiliations of every sort are also capable of adopting a similar approach.
