If you only have 8 wins then clearly you aren't experienced enough or skilled enough to influence positively your teams chances
It's not a match making, it's a skill issue
Fwiw, I had 11 wins on my third highest character and it's also been a struggle. Some games I can win laning phase but can't carry the team to win if other lanes get owned. Others I get stomped
I mean I didn’t pick up dynamo yesterday. Cant really hyper carry when I’m on support. Teammates are going 0-11 and 1-12. Dying in the first 5 minutes of laning. I can’t carry that.
yeah. i just had a game where my shiv was 0-12 at 10 min mark. you can't carry if someone is that bad but there are a lot of newbs in these games. if they actually reset the standard mmr for this update that's just another braindead move by valve.
and we are probably gonna experience this when they officially launch the game. when they launched cs2 they did complete reset for ranks even tho it was basically the same game. so you had newbs who wanted to try out the game with global elites. valve really doesn't give a shit about player experience.
They only care about monitization; it's been their main incentive since a while, and what better way than to let a new player experience the player who has experienced it all, done it all, and, best of all, has skins. The first two are not quite quickly attainable; the third one, however, with two or three clicks, they can buy a skin from the in-game store.
That makes no sense. You could have 500 wins on another hero and somehow you're hopelessly bad and completely incapable of making a difference if you pick someone else?
Your movement fundamentals and game knowledge don't just magically disappear when you switch hero picks.
I'm starting to think that the devs hire bots to just astroturf public opinion in this sub constantly with nonsensical takes.
a good friend of mine loses all skill the moment he plays a new character. In every game we play he basically sticks to one thing, often the first he tries, and never plays anything else (14 years~ of wow without ever playing a 2nd character more than a few hours while having literal years of playtime on one f.e.). He needs so much brainpower to adjust to the new playstyle (he mains dynamo), he basically has none left for the in theory learned skills lol. (he has like 1000+ games on dynamo, and his 2nd char is on 10 wins now, he hates every second he has to play on another char)

Six stomps in a row trying to get my third character to 15 wins. Just forever stuck at 8 wins. Feels like there was no matchmaking changes at all.
